Need to receive enough replacement parts before starting calling in cars, as a sure way to ensure the issue is resolved is to replace the part concerned.

For so many years no problem reported worldwide (many billions of km clocked), don't think the issue is that serious. Think it's just precautionary measure that a reputable brand would do to preserve their reputation. Don't think we need to worry about getting our cars checked immediately. Actually one could DIY to check, if PML or MA publishes the instructions.

Some other makes don't even cover their battery terminals. Surely the risk of short circuit is much higher with exposed terminals.

Just curious guys. I have not heard a sound from PML about the recall. Did thy loose my number? Maybe I ask LTA about it.

I call them after I read the papers then ask me to wait till end June 2012...

But now coming End October Liao still nothing from them...

Singapore norm: wait till one of the Bimmers explode and a minister's son is injured, then LTA, TP and PML will start working on it.

NOW? No problem wah. If it ain't broken, don't fix it.


I still remember the time I went to Police to report many cars driving against the flow of traffic in my car park (exiting via IN ramp and entering via EXIT ramp). The police asked me "Are you reporting an accident? Otherwise there is nothing to report."

Was at MA last Monday to do my servicing and they replaced the battery cover at the same time. I wasn't aware that my car was affected so that is a good thing. Good job, MA!
