In 2008, any tom dick and harry also can afford a base beemer because it was cheap, a basic 1er was 100k, 3er 130k and 5er was 160k?
In 2013, any tom dick and harry also can afford a base bimmer because it is still cheap.
Don't think demographics change is caused by car price, coz someone who could only afford a 80k camry in 2008 will probably not be able to afford a 180k f30, unless he got a bigger paycheck since then.
Probably also doesn't make sense to say someone who bought a 160k 5er in 2008 is more affluent than another who bought a 200k 320i in 2013, even if the latter is on 100% loan, coz borrow liao still must return someday. If anything, forum members actually got richer?
As for petrol, perhaps it is the pump price.
Btw, I suspect is coz vagsg started new rules for buy and sell?

I have been here from the Delphi era as well. I think the forum has evolved into a real community. It no longer just about cars. Lots of interesting ppl have come and gone, some very entertaining ppl like the mark x driver. Never really met anyone in person, but nonetheless enjoy the virtual company of most. The bottom line it's all just fun, enjoy it, take the good with bad, don't take things seriously.
