Mine is 225/45 17 front and 245/40 17 back. Total about 1k, seems like it's pretty good. Might go for it rather than RE050 or CSC3. Too ridiculous expensive man.

Re: Bridgestone Pontenza RE001

Can the RE001 be rotated? Especially on a staggerred setup?

the thread look directional... and the tyre is asymmetrical? so the the right front swop with left front, then the thread direction looks like it's in the opposite direction? :huhhuh:

Re: Bridgestone Pontenza RE001

this re001 is not a runflat tyre.
it can be used on either side of your car.
but just to make sure tyre is mounted correctly on the rim (see making on tyre wall outer or outside)

Re: Bridgestone Pontenza RE001

been on it for a week (225/40 18), loving the feel of it. probably one of the more affordable performance tyres. got them for about $300 per piece.

Re: Bridgestone Pontenza RE001

Had them for a short time and I can vouch for their wet weather performance too. Very inspiring.

Dry performance is superb too. Not much road noise as compared to other Bridgestone series tyres.

Re: Bridgestone Pontenza RE001

what about Goodyear F1 Asymmetrical? came out tops among Michelins, Contis, Bridestones tested. Price for the 225/40/18 is slightly cheaper than $300.

Which shop did you go for this price?

Re: Bridgestone Pontenza RE001

Jux went down to Leong Seng to buy the Potenza, together with my 19" rims. Anyone can tell me is the price reasonable:

19" 30/245 Front
19" 35/275 Real

Total $1600 (Tyres only)

Rim is seperate

Re: Bridgestone Pontenza RE001

did u check with South East before u buy? I think they have these tyres. btw, what rims did u buy?

No I didn't. Do they offer better than $1.6K for 19" staggard 245/275? Bought a set of Breyton rep

Then it should be abt the same. Prices likely to be controlled. Initially, before deciding on a 19" 245/275, I ask for the same one as yours, was quoted $1.2K after some bargaining.

The boss finally convinced me to go for the 19" 245/275, after showing me a very chio rim:drool:
