Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

I just installed a set of Brisk Premium LGS and it did make a difference. Idling is smoother and there is a noticeable improvement in the acceleration and engine feels more torquey.

I was using those ordinary Bosch platinum plugs before changing to NKG Iridium IX. I didn't feel any difference at all. After that I tried Denso Iridium (they boast their 0.4mm tip is best blah), no difference as well. Changing to the Brisk LGS makes an immediately difference.

The only downside is that the plugs are extremely expensive. I bought 4 of them at Atuobacs at $176 (I am sure elsewhere is cheaper).

Well, I guess its one of those rare times that a product did work as advertise..lol....

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Well seems to me Brisk plugs are becoming very strong performance contenders to Denso, NGK, Bosch, Splitfire and Champion. Essentially, the first ignition design combining E-field concentration and surface ionisation using confined conductor exposure and more effective ionisation over insulated E-field plane without the usual electrode obstruction to fuel mixture. More layman terms are given

Go for LGS if you want clear improvement over Denso and NGK iridium. LGS is better than its ZC/ZS/TXS series and cost only about AUD20 or GBP7.5 each.

LGS has a lavish silver centre electrode of nology, 4 earth electrodes sharper than multi-electrode Bosch/Splitfire and a circumferential insulation almost to the silver rod tip. What's new in the design is its highest intensity surface discharge at the locality of richest mixture over the 360 deg perimeter. Exposing directly to the fuel mixture will be the long glide spark for past decades racers tried to achieve with bigger gap and stronger ignition coil. This can never be realised fully with most conventional plug obstructed by its own earth electrode or the less effective free-space discharge of multi-electrode Bosch/Splitfire.

What's deterring the intense firing will only be a mediocre ignition coil and wire. And cannot expect longer life than iridium considering the wear sustained from its continuously intense arcing. Perhaps, the performance improvement, lesser acceleration wear, potential FC savings translated to cleaner engine and oil might put its relatively shorter life of 20k-40k from its most conductive silver electrode a non-issue.

Anything for the E92 335i?

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Not exactly sure of the plugs you need. Perhaps, using your current plug as reference, the link given to my earlier post just below "Those looking for equiv replacement might want to refer here" might find you the one you need. Alternatively the link at BRISK - High Performace Spark Plugs does help.

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Why not try the Volker Spec-II Racing Spark Plugs?

Really one of the best plugs ever made...

I spent $300 for 6 of them and its really working damn well.
Installed the ignition coil booster and now it works even better...

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Volker Spec-II Racing seems to me from Bosch, has a long-life iridium centre tip with a 7-up earth electrode, just like most conventional plugs. The Denso Tough customised for Lexus might be its closet equiv.

Between silver and iridium - the performance difference might be quite clear.

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Perhaps, some bimmers might able to use Brisk DOR15LGS. Trying to bring in a few at SGD27 per plug as compared to Autobac price about $170 for 4. Any one interested?

Here you are trying to sell the Brisk plugs while in my thread, you tell all the bad things about it. What exactly are you trying to say?

Btw, are you a site sponsor here?

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Hi site sponsor, don't be upset here.

I am personally using LGS and the best plug I ever tried in my past 30 years. Didn't know you read my many compliments as "bad things".

Only "bad things" I see is the local prices probably the highest across our planet. Local retailers seems to be preventing many of us using such an excellent plug.

Are u kidding me from Bosch ? Volker Spec II racing is e best i've used and for the price it rightly justifies so,on an m3 compared to non volker plug, the diff in response is very obvious.

Anyone else using LGS wanna comment ??

If you can buy it off on the web, by all means. We are here to provide A&P, installation, warranty, advice and the correct plugs for the users.

What do you mean by ?? Is it becoz of price? If it is, then why are there still people buying BMWs from PML, why not from the PIs all the time? Does PML's prices prevent people from buying cars from them?

Obviously, he is trying to flame every plug manufacturer he can think of.

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Though I initially thought that Hilton was a vendor, I no longer think that he is a typical vendor. He knows too much, that's a sign of an enthusiast.

As a result I think his posts should not be deleted on the basis of `unauthorised advertising'. Disclosure of alternative sources is not unauthorised advertising in my opinion. I'm happy if it is, but in most other forums it is not treated as such. The authorised dealer or distributor, if he is a sponsor, only has `reason' and `value' to fight for his own market share since it is not a crime in Singapore to do parallel importation. In fact, some sponsors here thrive on parallel importation anyway.

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Well a grey vendor does not disclose alternative sources of supply.

Price disparity of LGS, local vs overseas, as compared to Denso Iridium at Mcwell and Waterloo clearly shows that our retailers are doing great harm of keeping such good plugs away from the masses in Singapore.

Such repeated remarks must have caused some unhappiness here, unfortunately.

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

I bought a set of the LGS from autobacs around 3 weeks ago. They are defintiely better compared to the NGK Idirium IX plugs I was using (bought them from the MKS Ubi (the same guy that sells Redline and Amsoil engine oil inside a warehouse).

I did read up alot about the volker plugs. They seems to be the same as the NGK Iridium Max which consists of a iridium tip and platinum ground. Check out the link below for the NGK plug.

the entire aftermarket automotive industry puzzles me. I think it is time for more transparency in this. The IT industry which I have personal knowledge is bloody wide open `no walls' transparent and it's thriving, thriving defined as you can see most of the major players being able to withstand multiple recessions.

The aftermarket automotive industry seems to me like the IT industry in 1985. 23 years behind. My god. The one thing they caught on is forum marketing though ....
