its a very very tough question to answer....i grew up worshipping horses...n i still support the Ferrari F1 team.
let me help ur train of thoughts a bit. we will never drive either a porky/F/L/maclaren to the max of their abilities. so i will not say one is better than the other. n u shudnt ask which is better.....none of us will ever know.
next. (im going to drop porky here)...which one do u like better, looks department? sexy 458? masculine gallardo or high tech understated mac...
running cost the bull is much cheaper. MUCH....ie 700 bux MAX per oil change at 15k km....vs err 1.7k for F.
current gallardo vs 458....im talking. mac is close to F.
very very different driving feel. different gearing, different ways of driving them fast.
resale - Fs r better....but thats cos F has solid marketing...they r like NIKE. in fact ferrari makes more money selling merchandise than cars. thats a fact.
crowd - Fs have more doctors lawyers type..u know i hv arrived kind of crowd. L has the ah beng businessman types. ppl who more or less dont give a fcuk. u learn more bad words in a L showroom than u wud in the army camp. depends on what types u hang out with....
price -L,F, Mac all quite similiar..but u prob find the best bargain in L showroom. they hv the best salesman in the world.....u go try car there u sure kenna psycho into buying one.
interior finishing - the mac is prob the best right now in terms of ergonomics....the F is luxurious....n to die for. the L is boring n dark....but has the simplest electronics. both mac n L r well fitted...tight n good QC. F still gets rattles n if u know where to look, u will see loose bits.
drivability- all 3 r very different. The 4wd Lambs r very planted..best traction from lights n superb grip in wet n dry...the faster u go the better they r. gear shifts r oldest tech here. slower n it punches u in corsa mode. u like it or u hate it. suspension is hard...but firm n inspires confidence on road. terrible turning radius. no normal woman can drive it.
the 550-2 r very different. different suspension. sharp on steering n easy to place...suspension is softer...but the gear shifts r still crazy.. still neck breaking. still no woman shud drive it
F has the lightes steering. the 458 is the sharpest imo. very good to place. fantastic vision. best supercar for daily drive. balancing attn seeking n ease of driving. superb sound....on blips. i hate it for hving 7 gears. u spend most of the time shifting up n down. prob worse on race track, where torque n a longer gearing helps. also i hate that exos. normal mode 2.5k it comes on....race mode about 3.6k. so in traffic light..u hear nothing n then 'wooooooaaaa' it comes on...n then when the rpm drops it goes quiet. annoying. a woman can hop in n drive.
mp4-12c - this car is a different league. drives like a bmw when u want it to....n goes like a GTR when u go mad. great visibility as well...but no kick for me. no nice blips. no drama. looks a bit sedated. suspension is the best i ever seen...it GUNS over humps my evoque has to slow down for. i suspect to drive this car well, u need to learn to unlearn what u know about cornering n braking....woman can drive.
