Bro, mine is also e90, dec 06 and got it for 2 months. So far, i've replaced the valvebody, changed engine oil, spark plugs and air filter. Nothing else seems to be breaking yet but next will be brakes and suspension.

I suggest changing ATF if its not done. Engine oil, air filter and plugs is for my peace of mind since I don't know when was the last time the previous owner changed it. I am not following the OBC schedule.

Any idea how much the valvebody costs?

For me, so far front brake disc & pad, rear brake pad, drive shafts & propeller shafts...I think the previous owner replaced valve body & ATF...the next will be my suspension, may consider Taiwan coilover...

Bro, those who advertise "full PML records", please ensure they have the records on hand. Not tell you go to PML to get. Best to have receipts showing the servicing and what was replaced. If no records, please discount it. Speaking from experience (bad)

Hi Bros & Sis,
Newbie here. I was quite amazed to see so many 320i and 318i available in Sgcarmart for sale. Some are really nice, ie., reasonable mileage, full PML records, well-kept, etc. I didn't realise that these cars are as common as the Altis.
So tempted to have my T. Rush replaced with a lovely 320i.

Alot of F10 running around, also I see more F30 running around now.

A lot in sgcarmart can be due to 2 basic reasons; Good Times, previous owners upgrading to bigger rides since COE prices are still being pushed upwards.... or Bad Times, previous owners downgraded to 2nd hand Altis so not many in sgcarmart now.

Ha.... sounds like the condition of my ride. Was told my front and rear brakes need to replace soon. Likewise for suspension. Haven't decided what to do yet.

Can you advise me of the damage to replace the brake disc and pad and where did you change it?

I second that, what bro Redline15 mentioned. Even with paper PML records, please go get an independent BMW specialist or MA to do a used car evaluation. Good to buy with warranty, else do allocate min 3-5k for repairs or preventative maintenance cost.

I replaced my front OEM disc & skim rear disc + front & rear brake pads + labour = around $800

Didn't source around, is done at my service warranty workshop

Hi bro,

The major repair bills for e90 hits you when the car around the 5-year old mark.

Whether its a 3year old e90, or the new F30 (servicing and parts durability unknown yet), its likely the bigger bills will come around 5years or 100,000 km.

I would say go test drive both the new F30 which is turbocharged and brand new vs 3yo e90 and see which you prefer.

Financial wise the depreciation for the e90 should be lower than the F30, but I do not know how long you usually keep your cars so ultimately you have to decide what you can stomach.

as bro mrball asked- does anyone know if gearbox solenoid is claimable under lemon law from used car dealers, or is considered wear & tear?

i m anticipating my gearbox to hv issues soon =(, been delaying 1 sec before engaging reverse.

hi bro canuck78, buying a used 320 is like making a gamble . Try reputable shop like PPSL or republic auto which comes with extended warranty. Recently , i came across a thread in the car forum stating the obometer for bimmer can also be meddled with.

mine was checked and found to have been meddled and difference is my car
is suppose to be 20k km more
