Car completely Jammed Lol

Okay, so I'm not sure if the car was a BMW.. but do u guys only like bmw's or do u have a love for cars in general with the most passion for BMW's?

Anyway, my friend, who had just gotten his driver's license, was driving this car and when he stopped at a traffic light. When it turned green, he couldn't get the car to move. The steering wheel wouldn't move & he tried to enter and re-enter the car many times and God knows what else he tried but nothing worked. In the end, some dude came from the street and did something and the car was fine. What happened and how dya prevent this kind of thing?

puzzling...steering wheel locked up too? how might entering and re entering the car help the situation?..did the engine die on him?...hmm..too many variables...i'm keen to know what really happened....

The car's immobilser activated on its own?? Never hear of such cases before. Prob one of the rare few
