Most CF products are CF fabric lacquered over few layers to give the gloss look. So inherently, while it looks good, it cannot afford to be scratched, unless the lacquers are so heavily applied. Example - Robson lacquered roughly 20 layers on his CF fabric, hence removing the uneven look and improving the glossy look.
