no la, the CF pedals all have rubber strips. still dependent on rubber. CF itself where got grip

Re: carbon fibre vs aluminium pedal

I get it... Think cos it's lighter lar!
But more expensive :(
But think it's more stylo:woottt:

Re: carbon fibre vs aluminium pedal

I thought of the same question between CF vs Alum..... CF is nicer, but it is LACQUERED. So even with rubber strips, within a matter of few months, the pedals will be scratched.

Re: carbon fibre vs aluminium pedal

But pple still go for it. Cos it's all black?

Re: carbon fibre vs aluminium pedal

I think most are using alum, given the widespread adoption from tuner brands (Hamann, Kellener, M).......

i am not even sure if its actual full CF or just CF laminate. +1 on the lacqured bit.

bro go for aluminium. more solid feel. CF on pedals is a little like plastic.

Most CF products are CF fabric lacquered over few layers to give the gloss look. So inherently, while it looks good, it cannot afford to be scratched, unless the lacquers are so heavily applied. Example - Robson lacquered roughly 20 layers on his CF fabric, hence removing the uneven look and improving the glossy look. Even then, it is susceptible to severe scratching......

You cannot prevent that !!!

Even alum pedals are scratched. But because of the matt surface, it is not an eyesore.
