Champion is the largest Porsche dealer in the world situated in Florida, USA. They have an offshoot called Champion Motorsports which deals with aftermarket wheels etc. and they also have a carbon fiber and bodykit company called Werks Composites. In a word, they are really a champion organization.

RAC is an enthusiast organization dedicated to making rims for special applications, eg. RS98 in 18 inches instead of Champion's 19" with a thick 2" lip in response to Cayman owners' not wanting 19" rims for ride quality reasons, and yet increasing the rear width to 10" instead of 9.5".

RAC does not duplicate Champion's offerings, but they offer what enthusiasts sense as more suitable for their needs.

They only do mass orders from car forums, having done for Lotus, BMW and Porsche.

Their aesthetic designs are technically modified by Champion but both Champion and RAC's rims are made in Japan in the 8K ton forge.

If you want RAC wheels to be mass ordered, you can contact the boss and his friend:

[email protected] (boss)
[email protected] (friend)

Remember, RAC is an enthusiast organization doing things at what they claim (and well believed) almost no profit.

We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Champion Motorsport private labels the wheels for RAC. :)

Here's a free bump for a good set of quality wheels!

Re: Champion Forged Monolite Rims

Great pics man! Dont worry. Noise level will stablise with neutral driving during run in. Thats how it was for my PS2. Having a mid engine car, all the more important to run in properly as you will be able to feel the tires better.

RS98 fitted with PS2. Real noisy road noise now, waiting for it to settle in.

congrats, v nice :)

Re: Champion Forged Monolite Rims

How light are they in 18 and 19 vs the other good names?

Also I wonder the 18 monoblock can clear brembos 355 BBK or not?

What paint finish they come in huh?

Re: Champion Forged Monolite Rims

The wheels are BBK friendly in general.

FYI, given the low offset of the new 3-er, it creates a lot more room for better design in the wheel spokes to accomodate big caliper clearance. Compared that with E46 which was pretty pretty bad for most rims.

Re: Champion Forged Monolite Rims

Thanks Jack. Now my wheels look much nicer than the car though. Like Ah Pek dress like shit wear rolex.

ABD, here are the approx specs... probably one of the world's lightest non-carbon rims...

Spread forged 9X18 et 47; 1” lip (estimate (17.5 lbs.)
Spread forged 10X18 et 33; 2” lip (estimate (18.5 lbs.)

Recommended tire sizes – Front Stock up to a 245 section width
Rear Stock up to a 275 section width

Brake Fitment:

The wheels will accommodate the stock Porsche brake system and aftermarket BBKs with no spacer required. The larger and uncommon 6 pot Brembo systems utilizing rotors larger in diameter than 365mm will not fit ANY 18” wheel.

Finishes: these are custom made rims, Champion does not usually make 18" RS98 at all. They're supposed to be in satin silver, arthacite or gunmetal, but this batch all silver.
