Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

Hi guys, opening a new topic on this.

I recently changed my springs to HnR ones and got the low ride look that I wanted. However, I find that the ride is too soft. I'd like to have back my ride to have its original 'hardness' but will sit the car as low as this.

What brand and model of coil overs would you recommend? And which shop?

Thank you so much!!

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

KW V3 is definitely the best....but otherwise if you want something basic and idiot proof...V1 hahaha

i know some people use BC..but so far no reviews on that yet. price difference about 1k

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

Yeah I have been reading too. V3 is good. Do you guys know how much is the damage, with installation? Just an estimate would do. Thank you.

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

Maybe around 2.5k including shipping.

Your rims not flush with fenders .....

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

V1 is around 2-2.5K including labour depending on which workshop you go to. V3 is nearing 3K region. BC is 1-1.5K
but these are based on prices 1 year ago...

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

KW V1 i think about 2k only
V2 about 2.5k if got stock

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

What about Biestein & Eibach/H&R combo, dropped and no need to bother about adjusting possibly 1k+?

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

Probably need 10/15mm spacers to push out or change to staggered tires.

Any bad after effects of using spacers though?

Its about $2k for Bilstein shock with H&R springs..

Since on H&R liao, go for aftermarket damper will do if adjusting of height & damping is not priority..

Just curious, why would aftermarket spring be softer than stock spring..

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

For street use, go for KW2 or PSS9 will do.

10-15 mm is fine. Anything more and stress will be loaded on suspension joints such as tie rods and links.

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

was on bcbr before...very good ride...no knock knock noise and always on ready drift mode...

Re: Coil over recommendation. Ride too soft!

Just wondering if anybody has the m-sport suspension/H&R springs combo b4 ? If so whats the height drop like and how does it look on a say 18 inch rim. ?
