Crash!

Dear bros,

Last night while I was at a T Junction, waiting to turn right, i was waiting at the inner most pocket, while there were some cars at the outer right turn pocket also. I saw the road from opposing direction was clear and I proceeded to turn right, suddenly out of nowhere, a car came flying very fast from the opposite direction without braking at all and smashed into my rear left and the impact was so big, that my car turned 360 degrees anti clockwise and smashed my rear right into the traffic light.

Upon coming out of my car, I asked other party whether he is alright, etc and I didnt noticed that he had drunk some alcohol, until the police came and brought him to blow the breathlyser. I guess the guy had his alcohol level below the legal limit as the police did not bring him back but only took his statement right there.

Now I would like to ask fellow bros, what are my chances of winning? Because the opposite party driver fren's came down to help him as he was dazed from drinking alcohol. He also kept quiet most of the time. Pls advise. My car is currently towed to PML and I am thinking of getting Mike to do my repairs and claims. Thanks very much.

were u the e90 that crashed near the entrance to ECP from concourse that side. Sorry to hear abt the accident. I saw it and it looks kinda bad. The other car looks far worse. Hope things settle up for u bro.

Re: Crash!

if the other parties are responsible for the damage. I would do it @ PML instead of Mikes place cos your car so new. and its under warranty. unless you're repairing it yourself then Mike would be the best choice.

sorry to had hear this from you. glad you and your passenger are fine.

Re: Crash!

Go back to PML would be better for claims. Higher chance of getting it totaled.

Hi Bro,

Thats correct, saw ur car also....6666. Yeah the other party's whole car's front all smashed up. mine not so bad compared to his. Sigh.....Hopefully can get it fixed man. Morrow going down to PML to settle this. But PML does not do 3rd Party claims, I have to claim my own insurance or pay out of my own pocket thats why Im going to Mike which is the next best place to go to man.

Hi Bro, I am at the losing end as I was turning right. The other party didnt brake at all, if he did not drink, he would have sufficient time to react and stop man. I guess alcohol really slowed down that driver's response man. Morrow I going down to PML and Mike's place to see how also. Gotta retrieve some stuff from my car as well.

Re: Crash!

if it come to claim job, I'll always trust only PML, unless your car is not under warranty. since your car already in PML, they will sure take note of your car if is not repair by them. even you need to claim over your own insurance (1st party claim) then you pay only access. its worth it one. don't worry about losing your NCB. you can get it back over years. just be more careful. think carefully bro.

trust everyone here, all say fix at the PML. get a lawyer if necessary.

Sorry to hear and good luck......not a pleasant situation, that's for sure.

Thanks for the well wishes bro.......I shall pray and hope for the best.

Re: Crash!

Sorry to hear about this bro. I can understand how you feel. Next time must be careful too. Good that no one was injured in the accident.

I am not sure about it now...But I was stopped once a few years back at a police road block and I did drink alittle, the officer warned me, although I passed the breathalyzer test, should I get involved in an accident after the road block, I may still be charged for drink driving.

He mentioned passing the breathlyzer does not mean you are fine to drive...because different people have different tolerance of alcohol level. That little bit will still affect your judgement.

Can anyone comment?

DKKB: Are you sure about the above? Never did know that... wow. So I suppose for repairs to commence, have to pay outta own pocket first?

Mike is the best bet if u ask me. Also, it seems that your further rear got hit pretty bad. Dont even think its something major unless its a front collision where your engine is. Is ur rear axle damaged or bent? If its not, i really dont think its anythign that major apart from panel replacement. The rear of most BMW cars are modular so its a simple thing as crop and insert. Only problem could be the cost. That junction is suay because the turning right light is not on long enough so where you have a chance, you might take it. Well hope everything is ok especially no one got hurt.
