kenntona;314176 said:I sympathise with your misfortune, but "suddenly out of nowhere, a car came flying very fast from the opposite direction without braking at all ......" ??? Hate to play the devil's advocate here, but the scenario was that you were turning and he was going straight..... Unless you can prove that he was gunning across a red light while you were turning on green arrows, it sounded like a weak case. I am sorry I do not sound patronising, but I think I speak my mind like an bystander on the spot. Whether he is doing DUI is secondary, cause if the records prove that he was not going beating the red, then you were turning without checking head-on traffic? Just a thought........

edlms;314201 said:for ALL injury claims, the driver's insurance will cover regardless of whether or not there was alcohol involved. This part is governed by statutory requirement.
However, for property damage with alcohol involved, the driver's insurance will repudiate liability. The victim then either sues the driver or claims his own insurance (who will subsequently go against the driver directly).
delrosa, hope you're ok. talk to you tomorrow... will get in touch shortly.
cheers

The service advisor did a walkthrough and assured me that no panel beating will be done, instead on damaged panels will be cut of at the joints which are specially marked for such repairs, also they will order original replace panels and using their BMW specified Laser alignment equipment and mechanical arms to align back all replacement panels and welded back, no manual, agaration will be done like outside workshops. All repairs are done according to BMW AG specifications and standards. All parts replaced will have a 2 year warranty and for paintwork, they will provide 3 years warranty as well. They have also assured me, my car will really and be as good as new. No issues at all, should any problems occur, I will be covered under their warranty. From my understanding(My own opinion), normal panel beating if you strip off bumper, etc will see all those knock back marks, but under repair from PML, even if U strip off everything, no visible tell tale signs of any damages as well. Pretty impressive I must say. Feel assured and safe leaving my car to PML for repairs. Est downtime would be approx min. of 1.5 months to 2 months.....now Im without my baby and still B.M.W(Bus Mrt Walk) hahaha. Hopefully car can get repaired and back on the road and as good as new. Yeah!
