For your case, definitely wait for now! Wait for at least 2 biddings then consider changing car. Your trade in value will not drop much as it is a 7-8yo car already. However, new car price will drop and if you are lucky, some say it might drop up to 50k!

went down to PML today to check the price for 116i
list price $178,000
overtrade $21,000
can take in house finance @ 2.28% for 7yr (think for limited time only waiting for MAS to step in)
need to pay $10,800 cash for COE bidding, 6 bids non-guarantee
only 1 white and 1 black available

Xmas deal is still da best. 150k nett nett when coe 8xk.
