My intention is to reach settlement with PML.. if not it's straight to BMW Asia...
I have cleared my day's schedule to make sure both PMl and BMW understands my pains LOUD and CLEAR

If you want, we go together cause I got a bone to pick with them. My car is with them now but I have half a mind to go bang table.....

Let me know.

LOL... have faith bro...

Re: Dealing with PML aftersales is a pain the arse

Honestly, I have had my fair share of PML nonsense. The way they 'fixed' my engine noise on the F02 (back then, the car was barely a month old) was to keep increasing the insulation in the hope that I'll end up being unable to hear the engine knocking. And I'll be sending the F02 in again when my F13 is delivered because the way they 'fixed' the faulty auto-closing feature on the boot was to 'reset the software'. Fcuk it. They didn't even bloody take a peek at the hydraulics, so of course the boot failed to close properly again after a couple of days.

Yes please share. My ride is only less than a week old and since second day, i had similar clonking and tok tok sound from suspension and steering.

It would be good if I know the cause and solution so as not to get "smoked"

Just collected car back from PML... initial impressions are superb!

1) Steering grining sound gone... finally! fingers crossed!!
2) engine idle low tone tok... tok.. tok sound gone ( i have taken it all along that the 535i is not a strawberry ride and accepted it as such).. now this is strawberry...

this could be a placebo... but the steering seems to be more "connected" to the road now... or it could be the switch from 520 with 17" wheels

The car is now much quieter now that I am begining to appreciate the car's wonderful exhaust note.

So i can only come to the conclusion pml have the skillsets and knowhow to get the job done but due to huge population of bmws they have to service they cannot give everyone the due attention. So the million and one dollor question is how do you get their attention.

I better go listen carefully to my car again in case it is there,.. For the obscene margins PML makes, they should listen more to their customers.

说来话长 - suffice to say, there was an unacceptable knocking sound from my brand new F02 associated with a loss of power at between 1500-2000rpm. And PML's solution was to keep adding insulation in the hope that I would stop hearing the knocking. Anyway, it took me more than 4 months of ding donging and after many banging of tables at PML, they finally fixed the problem.

The issue isn't about PML fixing the problem - but why did it take 4 months and many smashed tables later before they finally decided to do the right thing!?

bro.. ur F02 wat engine?

Here's the irony - I originally avoided the N54 because I read so many issues about it, so I opted for the N52. Waited a whole year for it to come out, bought it and fcuking heck, knock-knock who's there.

Re: Dealing with PML aftersales is a pain the arse

hey shit i have the same problem in my E90 N46 320i. so what exactly did they do? I think I need to maybe bang some tables.. be it MA or PML. i'm having engine rattling below 1500 rpm
