Re: Driving F10 into Malaysia

very important tips

1. dont wash your car for one week before u go in
2. if your car is malboro red, dont go in
3. get 20% tint from sherman before u go in

Re: Driving F10 into Malaysia

common sense prevails,

signal early, form up to turn early etc
drive middle lane for 3 lane road, or slow lane for 2 lane road,
dun road hog,
give way to other cars,
dun blast horn even if some idiotic cars cut directly in front of you
dun blast horn even if others indulge in idiotic driving maneuver
dun give 'international bird sign' even if you are extremely tulan

lock car at petrol station when pumping gas and even with passengers in the car

park in open spaces, avoid alleys or secluded / deserted places

else, valet park in hotels, keep the key...tip the valet handsomely...

end of the day.... its not our country.... respect others... many of these...got not much to lose... will go all out to inflict maximum damage if provoked etc.

and if someone were to knock into you while driving / at traffic lights.... DO NOT COME DOWN!!!! swallow pride... come back singapore to repair damage.

actually after all that has been written here, I think the best is take Bus or Train or Airplane

Re: Driving F10 into Malaysia

dress down... dun go dressing in your most branded attire / watches etc

empty car of passport, cash card, pieces of information with addresses when parking car to go shopping center.

in shopping centers, stay close, go toilet in pairs if possible.... or else wait for each other outside the toilets.

I think this is common in a lot of countries. Somehow, some of us lack of it.

Re: Driving F10 into Malaysia

yalor ... it's common sense never let your guard down
some even pump petrol with engine on (aircon to cool the car), not lock and walk into cashier to Q and make payment.
then car later kena jacked ... complain walao ... pumping petrol at petrol station also not safe in jb

Agree to all comments...end of the day it boils down to pure common sense right...don't be flashy....dont look for trouble....blend in.....

Like bros mentioned here, dont change money in JB....or openly...the rates are very similar here in Singapore.....and always remeber be vigilant

There are many nice places to eat and see the amount of SG cars that go in...its okie ....

plan ur trip....go in the Morning...Bfast (nice Wanton/Laksa)....then do some shopping.....look see.... have a heart lunch....and before come back pump petrol.....

Also there is this nice seafood restaurant ....at the Duty Free Zone..... very close to the causeway......

Tai Son Chinese Restaurant

C3, Fun Zon, Jalan Ibrahim Sultan (Stulang Laut), Johor Bahru, Johor 80300

Check out the link…

Tai Son - Eat Drink Relak @ JB.

if anyone keen we can do a convoy......Field Trip...like during school days.....and the beer is dirt cheap....

Cheers....
