IMHO BMW makes the best inline-6 engines in the world. No other inline-6 will sound like it.. Those who have driven one will know =)

no offense to lexus supporters (my wife is a IS250 driver too).. i think japanese engines sound cheap (solely my own opinion).

Agree with Bro kcl211. Thus, I managed to change my original purchase from 320 to the 323. Done it in the nick of time before COE bidding tomorrow!

Good move. 4 pot is underpower for sure. And there is very little you can do to boost you horses further.

Agree with Bro kcl211. Thus, I managed to change my original purchase from 320 to the 323. Done it in the nick of time before COE bidding tomorrow!

The 320 is also good...just that the inline 6 has that extra feel and "omph" when driving....

well bro, spent 4 days negotiating with PML on the amount to top up for the 323...not easy especially when my 12k deposit is already with them. In the end, we came to a win-win situation which I think is fair to both parties.

When you get your 6 pots n if you are a power freak, you will realise its all worth it........ for the amount of horses you can add on your 6 pots.... depending on how much you r willing to pay for the horses

When you get your 6 pots n if you are a power freak, you will realise its all worth it........ for the amount of horses you can add on your 6 pots.... depending on how much you r willing to pay for the horses

Hi bmw-newbie,

so long don't touch the engine.......

but ECU tune is ok as PML can't get into the performance part, they usually only touch the diagnostic ecu portion....

things like suspension, BBK and rims are ok not forgetting Velocity........

you can also install a Pulley-kit but abit troublesome.....just take out and put back the stock pulley before sending it to PML for servicing

Warrenty will go once a specific part is mod. So it all depends on your urge n thurst for that particular area to mod. We have a lot of bros who just mod all the way... like bro Ac323 or Bro coolman. Of course there are stock supporter like bro simone.

So its a chance that you have to decide whether to take or otherwise

The meetup I organise usually veri tame one lah. Most come to socialise rather than compare mod. But of course, that does not make their rides any less modded or droolable...... but the poison is not pass on.... its from within....

Hi guys, I feel like changing my 320i & the new F10 5series prices seem too high now, thanks to the COE hike. Regretted didn't place booking before the hike... Anyway, I'm looking at used aft '08 E60 523iXL & 525iXL and realised both models have the same engine CC. Other than the diff BHP, what are the other specs diff? Price diff abt $20k between the 2 models thou. Only intend to drive for 2years then change to F10. What's the known problems for E60? Heard the high volume of aircon compressor breakdown aft 3years from mechanic. Thanks for sharing!
