Driving E93 LCI, my engine oil leaked, changed all valves, seals etc. Cost me slightly less than $700 in Singapore workshop.

I had a similar problem on my 2006 e90 - oil leak in engine bay. Mileage approx 100k. Sent to PML, and they quoted about $2k. Got a quote from one of the sponsor workshop here and was quoted $1k+ to replace "all related seals" to stop leak problem.

Not convinced, I brought car to my regular workshop in JB who specialises in BMW's. After diagnosis, mech replaced 2 o-rings at oil filter housing, and 4 more o-rings on the 2 VANOS solenoids. Viola! Oil leak no more and I'm poorer by less than RM270 - which includes my regular servicing. I brought my own oil, oil filter and air filter though....

And I must say that these guys are super pro! They even did a complete engine wash for me - meticulously cleaning EVERY item that has oil stain. Now my engine bay looks almost like new again! Hahaha!

If anyone here are feeling adventurous enough to head north to service your car, PM me for contact. Just to clarify, I'm NOT related to workshop in anyway. Just a happy customer after saving 90% of what the workshops here tried to charge me...

There's a BMW authorized dealer under Wearnes located just next to Aeon Tebrau. You can leave you car there and shop in Aeon for the full day - eat, watch movies, shop (big and modern Aeon supermarkets) then collect your car.

Not too sure whether expensive or not as each model and series are probably different.
Attached is a list for all the spare parts that I have bought from a local stockist throughout 2012-2017 for my previous E60 520i. The parts are mostly official OEM and are in its ordering code number, so try figure the actual part names

At a glance the malaysian prices are higher but then, most prices would have moved over the years and the fact that i'm buying direct from a stockist don't really take into account of workshop's margin. The malaysian stuff could be with the original BMW parts as well.

FYI I used to service in both Malaysia(small workshop, friend who used to work on mainly continental makes in Singapore before starting his own) and Singapore (site sponsor) and both are fine with me getting the parts myself.
