ECU remapping...

Re: ECU remapping...

Hi Snowdog,

I am driving a new FL 320i. This looks interesting. Can you pm me on the following as well?

(1) What is the gain in bhp?
(2) Will ecu remapping reduce the car torque?
(3) Is it reversible?
(4) Will it cause damage to the engine over the long-run?
(5) Will it affect fuel efficiency?
(6) Will it void the PML warranty??
(7) Price?

Thanks.

ACS6 is right. There is no re-learning of the ECU again. It has got no other data to learn from, except your driving style but still it is basing on the same set of datas that are flash onto your ECU.

You make it sound like an ECU remap is bad for the car.......the idea of doing this is to optimise the performance of the car.

Re: ECU remapping...

Precisely and most ppl think ecu remapping is cheap.. Btw its about 1000-2000..

Ppl ask here there ask god knows wat.. Hear 1500 bucks then vanish into the thin air

Yup.

On a side note, one should think that the methodology used in businesses like the 6 Sigma could be applied with your car as well and the dyno graph is like the report of a balanced scorecard process aligning your car's hardware to performance ....... :fineprin: .

And usually the smaller businesses run away when they see the price of running such a program in their company.

Re: ECU remapping...

Hi Snowdog,

I have a 2009 FL 3.18, engine N46B20B. I would like to request the following information for your remapping service:

1) Can the 3.18 engine ECU be remapped to above a "remapped 3.20", say 170 bhp, 220 Nm?
2) What is the maximum safe tune for bhp and torque and at what rpm respectively?
3) Will you remap it again in case PML updates the software and at what cost?
4) Price
5) How do I contact you to do the work?
6) Any warrantee?

Thank you!
