Petrol here and petrol in Germany got big difference ......

So far, around 7km/L seems like typical fc. Guess I should be happy with my 9.8-10km/L then.
I think what disappointed me about the F10 fc is the impression it gave me - not very accurate leh.
On paper specs, the F10 and new E200/250 have very similar fc.
Also BMW keeps bragging abt its EfficientDynamics.
All these marketing gave me the impression that its fc should not be far off from merc's fc.

Maybe next time I get the 520d ...

I discovered toyota wish FC very good. CVVT is good. BMW sucks.

My kancil 850cc manual with apple fit exhaust is heaven, coilover with 13" sport rim and full set ultra racing bars is unbelievable stable, pump RM50 Ron95 can use one week, BMW need pump every 2 days.

And i forgot when is my last oil changed.......

My F10 520i is now 4 months old and hovering around 3000km mileage.
I noticed my fuel consumption (Shell 98 ) hovers around 9.8km/L to 10.1km/L.
To me, this doesn't seem good. The specs say the car should be hitting 12km/L to 16km/L!
Even my previous E200 (based on same driving habit and distance) hits 12km/L.

I would like to get a feel from the community here how their F10s (520 or 528 ) are doing for fuel consumption.

Perhaps those who do a good mix of city/expressway pattern ought to respond to this post, just to get a 'fair' comparison.
(noted, driving styles, petrol type, distance would differ too but then we have to start from somewhere)

Almost same same consumption as my 'not-new' 3.0L IL6... Basic rule and the best form of getting optimum fuel efficiency = Our Right Foot or Cruise Control.

Monitor you FC after the 1st oil change, somesay hearsay manysay... I dontsay

520d is a fantastic ride. You guys should seriously consider it.
Superb FC (avg between 850 - 1000 km per full tank @ around $95)
Thrilling ride (Torque @ 380Nm)
& its a BMW!

What is the exhaust roar when Diesel car fix aftermarket exhaust.
This is more important than FC.
And i must agree 520D is superb with 380Nm........ *drooling*
