is the LED running day lights similiar to those on merc E class?

coz the newer version of 3 series and the latest Z4 has day running lights but its on the corona rings themselves. bright enough to be seen during the day.

hi taneks,

still no place for tissue box....haha:cool:

Yah, I know. But wife insists on putting a tissue box (among other things) in the car, and I hide it every time I need to pick up guests. There should be a "wife/children" compartment for things BMW drivers wouldn't be caught dead with.

suction doors and folding mirros can be obtained on the highline version.

?

Suction doors only on 535i, not on highline.

I think it looks quite nice leh. Just a bit boring. I may get the 535. Good or not ah....

Wish I could afford the 535i. The interior is really nice. The 10" screen is gorgeous, and there is a sports / comfort button next to the gearshift. Not to mention the turbo engine.

The corona rings are now lighted by white LEDs, so don't have to go mod yourself lio.

If I'm not wrong, 523 highline don't have suction doors but have power folding mirrors.

Oh, the lights package that lights up all the door handles is cool!

Re: F10 viewing

looks good. front reminds me of Z4 somehow... but still think my E60 nicer (biased)......LOL

I've tested the suction doors on the 3 cars on display, 535 have, 523HL and no HL both don't have. Confirmed chop stamp!

535 has SAT and paddleshift also, swee!

The centre console between driver and front passenger really looks and feels much bigger than E60.

SAT (which includes paddles) and sports leather steering wheel should have been made standard. The feel and quality of the leather used in the sports steering wheel was so much better than the standard wheel.

523 base does not have folding mirrors. Have to pay an exorbitant $1300 to include this. Standard on 523 Highline and 535.

Re: F10 viewing

looking at pics over the net, this is probably the car's worst/most uninspiring angle imho.

Re: F10 viewing

i saw it at last (F10). the real thing.

I must say it is beautiful. Also technology and engineering of the vehical has improved alot.

Winner.....

Of cos there are things to be improved...but dun look at small faults. There are many more good stuffs in this generation.

fyi, the sound is really irritating and aweful when the boot close and open. Get someone to open and close the boot while you sit in the car. Sounds bad. My feedback.

could it be the number plate at the trunk thats rattling when it closes? i got them to tighten things up around the number plate to get that solid thud sound

Re: F10 viewing

Like all BMW designs, it will slowly grow on you. Not one BMW is ugly....well, thats my opinion.

Re: F10 viewing

even if it is truly ugly, getting into the cabin, starting the engine and the driving of it makes everything else secondary

somehow this angle gives me impression half the car trying to be E90 and other half trying to be F01. I know..my imagination running wild..

yup. that is why i say to focus on the good points. Truely a good improvement vs previous generation. Technology rules.
