I used to drive a golf sport MK6 and i would strongly not recommend VW again.Go take a look at Vagsg forum,VCS service has been getting from bad to worse.

Imagine waiting months just to get an appointment to service your car.

agreed! vag svc degraded as it started to sell more cars. but then again, so is pml. however, if the factory wrkshp or agent svc is bad, does that stop me from enjoyin a particular make?

to be honest, after 4bms n 4vws the agent servicin has not gotten any better since the first bm or vw purchased. but, tht does NOT deprive me from enjoyin end results of beautifully engineered dynamic soulful lovely german drivin machines. i jus hav to accept this shitty part which is why 3rd party wrkshops eg site sponsors are gd frens.

irregardless of whichever make i buy, i always make sure the particular wrkshop can svc promptly when i need them. i have never had to wait more than 5 wrkin days for an appt if not urgent n if urgent, i received immediate svc.

That's why you see.... I'm struggling between the luxury and performance.
Haha it'll be best if I get a 335i cos that'll be the best of both worlds right?

My friend also pointed out scirocco 2.0 as an alternative but I drove the car once and found the brakes super sensitive. Does it apply to all VWs?

1. How is the Roc any comparison when you're looking for comfort? It's really uncomfortable. You talked about the GTi but you don't seem to have any real passion for the drive-ability of the car. For me, when I stepped on the GTi's accelerator, I knew instantly, that was the car I wanted.

2. Price range. Why are we talking about 335? I quite like the M3 too you know.

3. Comfort. The BMW at its most basic, very comfy meh?

Ask yourself, what is it that you want. Don't be embarrassed to admit that you want to buy it for the brand. If you're looking for handling, maybe you can consider the Mini.

For me, value for money option, I will be looking at the BRZ.
