Next thing to do is the HID, then I think it's complete....

Maybe just those white led Angel eyes would be good though. Don't want everyone to be "blinded"by those headlights hahaha
Edit:
(Just read dr reply, your headlights don't come with ae? :( well I met a forumer yesterday night, he got his ae headlights at like 1.5k++ )

Fog you might want hid, since the white of bulbs may not be as white as we expect.
I just ordered mine last week (about $40 per pair at e92 lightning) , I think the white would match the headlights, but more updates when it comes!
I heard you can also adjust the fog light angle so that it would point down

Re: First day with the E90 320i

the oem headlights are $350 per side ( can get from ES) then go look for steve for the white AEs. $65 for fitting the headlights. everything less than $1K plus its still a oem. but of course the price is based on LCI halo set. If you want white lights, I think steve has white bulbs too 5000K or 5500K cant rem. All in maybe just a little more than a $1k? But at least you can drive around in peace without the fear of TP and save the hassle of needing to change bulbs when inspection comes.

I just believe in paying a little more to save me the hassle.

my 2 cents

Re: First day with the E90 320i

Thanks all for the kind comments and the recommendations on the headlight modifications.

I don't have any specifics in mind but I just don't like orange light. In my previous ride, I didn't have good results replacing the bulbs with the Philips Diamond Vision, Crystal Vision etc... I was happy when I finally had the HID, but that's Japanese cars which are easier and cheaper to mod.

The bimmers are different animals, so I'm gonna look around a bit, work out the costs and see what I want to do.

Was at Steven's shop this morning, and he helped me with the air scoop (can really feel a difference, as far as I'm concerned, that is money well spent!) and the side marker - makes the car look chio-er now. :D

Am I having fun yet? You bet!

Re: First day with the E90 320i

haha,me and bro zinckool also went to steven 3 weeks ago.got rid of the orange headlight by changing to white halogen bulbs.willconsider to do the airscoop as well.

I read your mod journal, very interesting and informative, good job. My very first car, I also DIY a lot of stuff and I must say it was fun... But as one gets older, I just want to drive a nice car and be seen. :)

Re: First day with the E90 320i

Been 2 weeks since I've my new ride... so far so good and I've been enjoying it. Then this morning it dawned on me that what happens if the battery is flat, how do I jumpstart this car... Coming from a Japanese car, this was an easy thing to do... Bimmer? Different story...

So went and read the manual, and realise that the battery is supposed to last a long time, and I found the instructions to jumpstart the car.

Have anyone of you has experiences with battery problems, or car starting problems related to the battery? Would love to hear some feedback, or is this something that we need not worry about?

Thanks in advance!

some people have their batteries lasting more than 5 years. mine died at about 2.5 years and changed under warranty. remember to use the jump start points in the engine bay instead of straight to the battery.
unless you have iDrive, no symptoms to inform you of impending dying battery. mine just suddenly refuse to start and the lights just flicker and cut off.

Where is the jump starts points in the engine bay?
