Bro, m interested to take a look, can compare with my factory fitted ones. Buzz me & we meet sometime this week night. Bulbs wise our 6000k is just right, I'm on Philips D2S. Wilson just change to 6500k ones which he bought from a US website & we did a comparison, no diff for the xtra 500k. 8000k ones dam blue man, quite a risk to take for those aftermarket convertions. Btw any luck with the kit? Let me know if you're keen on the ACS set, I'll link you up with the seller.

Hi all

Just got my entire headlamp assembly replaced by PML to rectify a broken adjuster. Noticed that the new lamp comes with lenses with radial groves across the entire surface which somehow makes it a lot brighter than the side which wasn't replaced. Any chance those who have changed to clears notice the same with your lenses?

Pls check you upgraded Xenon lite carefully and ensure both bulb with the same color temperature i.e. 6000k. What you need to do is switch on low beam and wait for 15 seconds for the beam color to stablise and see is the low beam in same color for L & R. Mine was in two different color one bright white and the other was blue white. Strongly suspected when puchased the upgrade kit the packing come with 1 x 6000k bulb with white color electrode tube cover and 1 x 8000k with brown electrode tube cover.
Partly my mistake for not checking carefully after putting up the xenon kit (at that jucture was happy that the lite is up and powerful) After realised it and called to verify from source of purchase and got the crap reply due to the projector headlamp design hence, will give difference color and said that the electrode tube cover mean nothing. :shock: (The color of the electrode tube cover shld be for k identifcation and now I wonder the warranty will be honor or not if any thing go wrong beside the bulb?)
Never wanted or bothered to argue further and mentioned want to purchase two bulb for 2 different color temp to match for 2 sets of xenon bulb and was insisted me to order a set of same color temp bulb and also currently no stock. Last sentence striaght forward to the seller that I had that right to claimed the wrong item during packaging if I want to but I never do so, guess what reply I got?
"You said you want to buy a new set of bulb and now want to claim, some more drive BMW car". What the hell it gonna to be related I am driving BMW or not?
I really get piss off :furious: by trying to be nice and was treated like an idiot and shld I go the other vendor or any bros here had any H7 rebase Xeon bulb to let go pls PM me.
And to all bros with Xenon upgraded or wanded to upgrade pls check and test your bulb color to ensure history never repeat.

For those bros who have gotten the xenon seller's contact from me, pls note that he is the same chap who sold to Arsenal 62. So to be safe, if u have ordered from him, please check the contents in the box thoroughly when collecting your stuff and make sure both bulbs same k. To also make sure the seller indicate in the invoice the actual description of the xenon i.e. Hella xenon 6000k or words to the effect. The brand "Hella" and "xenon 6000k" should be there. If there is any misunderstanding later or product not as described, at least u have some legal recourse. Pls also ensure u get the warranty card. He is supposed to send for u the dealer's copy. So u only retain the customer copy.

Have been considering paddle-shift for awhile now, see how it goes. Doubt will touch the exhaust or drop in CAI coz stock ones is almost straight thru except for the tip is slightly pointed down. Wana meet tomorrow night? Nick, swing by too.

Bro btw I go on step & manual pretty often, d mode once in awhile. If you intend to drop in the CAI, straight thru will be ideal thou, both mods compliment each other. May lose out on low end but will gain from mid-high end. Change tip only :thinking:

Pics taken on day-time and not as obvious at night or see it physically.
To be honestly, I am happy with the result of the xenon but not the different in color and my neighbour even can tell me "wow powerful headlite, but seem like one is blue one is white "

Btw, I have written and called to the vendor's manager with pictures attached to support my claim and now awaiting the reply.

I double-checked my xenons yesterday. Confirmed both sides white-ish. No blue-ish tint. So shd be 6,000k as promised by seller.

damn gian to fix leh, but i need to see the effect it would have on non projector headlights, afraid it may be too glaring lah....anyone with non-projector headlights fixed aftermarket xenons? can post some pics...my car is e60 520i

Bro, the blue type will be brighter tha the white ones (6000k) coz more k. 7500k onwards quite blue-ish. The OEMs from factory-fitted BMWs typically 4300k only.
