iDrive GPS - Am i the only one cursing and swearing?

Hi guys

Not sure if this has been discussed to the death.

Is there any way to let the map inform us to keep left/right on expressways when nearing an exit?

The problem i am facing is that the map is such a "spiderweb", until i blur.... sometimes, you will not even realize you are suppose to take the exit, until you have gone past it.

Or is this a user (i.e. me only) issue?

haha...i use my gd old trusty garmin....my idrive i only use it when i know the route and just on it for the sake of on-ing it.

i thot idrive nav has the feature that shows the profile on the split screen on exit route profile..

and also the voice prompt will tell you to keep right or left as the filtering approaches..

i only curse the voice activated command.. it sucks..

I notice that sometimes, it will appear, telling me to filter right or left. But the behavior is not consistent. Most of the time, it does not warn me.

i thot idrive nav has the feature that shows the profile on the split screen on exit route profile..

and also the voice prompt will tell you to keep right or left as the filtering approaches..

Look at where the odo is, the next exit and direction and name is displayed there.

Only look at map for high level direction of travel. Set your map scale to the largest, so roads are less of a yakisoba view. Hope that helps.

Something must be wrong with mine. Doesn't seem to show up at the odo!

I dunno if your dashboard has this:

But, where you can see the arrow, it'll usually also tell you to prepare to filter left or right, and there's also a distance gauge to indicate when the next turning is (eg 100m, 50m away). It doesn't always work 100% but it's quite accurate most of the time.

yup, even that day when i was testing on a F02, wow....error msg, door not closed etc also can display on the dashboard....really premium stuff

Hmm... I wonder whether my F13 will also have the same dashboard as my F02 or not... Kinda took it for granted that all BMW dashboards are the same, paiseh
