IL6 NA or 4-cyc Turbo?

not talking about 35s but the 25s/ 23s IL6, given that these are fading out real soon to make way for the turbos, thought i'd ask which you would choose and why. would like some insights for my decision making, appreciate your sharing. tks

I feel 4 potter turbo is better than my previous IL-6 for our city start / stop traffic (I do not head North often)!

tks Steptronic. while i do not own the IL6, based on the short test drives that i took, i tend to agree w your comment. the lag between switching lanes when you floor the accelerator seems to be evident. but the bimmer is renowned for its IL6, so comments from other users are welcome.

4pot turbo is great
if you can accept the engine idle sound and turbo kick instead of smoothness but slower
it's good to go

Very subjective. U need to test drive both and feel it yourself. There are 2 camps... Strawberry i6l and Tiak Tiak turbo 4 cylinders.

Depends what u want. Power and better economy or a more zingy "feel".

Turbo kick can be addictive else set to Eco-pro for smooth pottering around.

Both are great engines.

Buy 4 pot turbo is as good as buy 4 pot diesel. The response of IL-6 is dependant on driver's leg.

I vote for the Turbo if you're mainly driving in the city, good low end torque will make you less frustrated.

Short test drives can never define the sheer driving pleasure
Sheer driving pleasure is still defined by NA IL6 for me

TS, i am also at this cross road now.
Deciding between strawberry or tiak tiak 528 ....

My heart is towards the 6cyl NA but most opinions i gather are for 4cyl Turbo
