Got to check the alternator, the KGM (body gateway module) or even the IBS. Might be one of it... =)

Thanks bro... Also last night I realised the welcome lights is not working As well... Jin strange... The battery warning message still there... Then this morning went to work huge jam and drove the ride to more than 15km... Wen I got to my offic car park... The battery message is gone and the welcom lights is back when I lock my ride via the remote... Wtf...

Now all ok?? I read somewhere th welcom light went off if the system detect low battery warning to save power? Is that true? Could it be because I jus change a new battery yesterday and there is not enough charging? The guys from BMW mobile service did reset the system in OBC...

Re: Increased battery discharged warning???

Do u always go for short drives? That might cause it as your battery isn't charged sufficiently. Try to take longer drives so that your batt can be charged more.

Thanks man... For this kind of problem who should I go to if it persist? BVO or PML or J4C... Who can diagnose and rectify better? I scared I go PML they tell me bird language and tell me everything ok after 2 days in PML... Any suggestions? Sigh damn sianz now...

Re: Increased battery discharged warning???

Pml. AD FTW.

Re: Increased battery discharged warning???

I would suggest you go to MA. For 6 months I tried going to the other site sponsors and other workshops for the persisting problems on my car. None of them can help me. After that I went to MA, leave my car there for 2 days, all my problems solved. All expense and time spent with other workshop were just wasted.

Like I said, go do a search on this forum.

I've already done the troubleshooting and helped to solve the problem.

or have it your way - waste time sending to the workshops, or worse, PML or MA.

bro i did that liao.. but seems like my case is pretty unique with the welcome light intermittment issue.. u mean u trouble shoot yourself? can give me some tips?

Re: Increased battery discharged warning???

dude... sigh!

our cars are rather smart - when it senses that your car batt is running low, it disables most of the auxiliary devices which will drain the batt even further. hence the welcome lights don't work.

the auxiliary devices get powered on only when the batt recharges to a minimum level. so that's why when you drive your car for a while, the welcome lights work again.

now what caused the discharge? probably the comfort access function.

do you live in a landed property? do you leave your car keys in close proximity to the car after you park?

try putting it further away. like in the kitchen or something (assuming the kitchen is the furthest away from your porch.

and pls thank me for bothering to answer your question.

have fun!
