Inquiry of 320

[Lao Beng]

Hi all,

I am very new to BMW,
e.g of looking for a 2nd BMW 320 (2007 or 2008) which item should I look at.
And normally what will be the problem for 320 facing.
As I looking on new car wow the price is sky high.

1) For the 320 can it be mod and if mod what will it be, re-map the engine and gear box??
2) Can 320 change the exhaust or leave as it is.
3) Can the TPS adjust at the throttle or acc lever.
4) Can it open pod or just drop it K&N filter will do.
5) Can it fix 3 way throttle control to contorl the throttle opening position.
6) Can it fix the Oil catch.

Anything that I leave out do advice.

check with boss motorsport for ecu remap

2) Can 320 change the exhaust or leave as it is.
can cut and weld twin swee swee exhaust tip. can change the whole muffler to bmw performance or eisenmann sport (lta approved) eisenmann race (lta not approved)

3) Can the TPS adjust at the throttle or acc lever.
ecu remap can tweak TPS sensitivity

4) Can it open pod or just drop it K&N filter will do.
open pod = gruppem or simota (value for money). drop-in can check out bmc f1, k&n or hurricane

5) Can it fix 3 way throttle control to contorl the throttle opening position.
can. if do ecu remap, this one is redundant mod.

6) Can it fix the Oil catch.
what for? can skip and save some money.

I know 320 is 156BHP so after doing the ECU re-map and re-map on the gearbox how much BHP will I get approximate.

So it will be best to re-map the ECU and including with the change of exhaust rite. So on the exhaust it would be best to change the whole system which LTA
approved. because on the diameter of the piping will be different from the stock.

So once re-map the 3 way throttle control unit can throw it away.
because the sensitivity will be better.

For the air filter which is the best as there are too many brand, and I found out some
bro over here did mention they facing problem on the K&N filter IT broke off

all this mod how much will it be cost approximate 3 to 5K can it be???

Later after all this mod can she go to track.
As my friend told me BMW also have the problem on the gearbox that make me very worry.
and I do not know how big is the oil cooler for the gearbox, as I saw it before on the jap car toyota just 2 to 3 tube wow lao
this kind of design sure up the lorry if go track. or high speed all the way to K.L

I check 325 most is 2 door, but I want 4 door.
currently my ride is a 2 door and mine ex ex ex ride is a 2 door.

Sorry Taokay ~~ earn eat serious lately ~~ :laughlik:

E90 (320i) mods:

- Replace filter to after market ones retaining stock airbox.
- Air-scoop for better air flow into air filter
- Extractor, mid-pipe (B-pipe) stay stock (unless wanna try custom ones)
- Exhaust muffler replace. (Many brands to choose, question is pocket deep enough? )
- Reflash of ECU.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- light weight sport rims / tires (min RE-11)
- Coilover for better handling.
- BBK for better stopping (since up BHP liao)
- Anti roll bar / sway bar replacement
- lower arm / bushings / 335 engine mounting

Tat bout all (i guess) Happy modding ~~~

if you want power, forget about 320 completely. seriously, 320 has NO POWER ... period (no need to argue)
