Re: Installing Cameras

Hey Jeff,

Its better to start a new thread on ur GB and link to this thread for pple who want to discuss more about it. Its so that u can increase ur GB visibility and get that minimum order of 5.

Cheers!

Re: Installing Cameras

Now that the iPod nano comes with video cam, would it serve our purpose?

1. how many steps (buttons to push) to trigger video recording?
2. Is the recording capacity on 'loop'?
3. If it loops, can we leave it on to do 24-hr recording?

No need very high quality leh. As long as can see number on car plate ok already.

More critical issue is simple quick activation. I read some of them has auto-record once ignition is on. this should be the way.

Re: Installing Cameras

Apple - iPod nano - Video Camera - Shoot video wherever you are.

H.264 VGA video, 640 by 480 pixels, up to 30 frames per second with AAC audio

maple, but the ipod nano lens is some unknown lens..while the gb camera sounds like a reasonable quality lens...which is more a important consideration than megapixels etc when buying digital cams/dslrs.

think ipod nano video activation also need to scroll thru menu before getting to it...

Re: Installing Cameras

i think the ipod uses a prime lens, just like the last iphone3g.
if i'm right, then you can pretty much forget abt video quality cause there is no auto-focus.
vid quality maybe very critical to ascertain faults in accidents.
the gadget cam looks good but agree it's over-priced.
the idrive one with gps is great with a larger viewing angle.
why cant someone come up with something that combines the 2?????

my2cents.
