Not cold start, the vibration is quite minor, does not transmit to steering wheel, can be felt only on the floor by ur feet, the vibration is on and off like every 5-10 secs, vibrate a little bit, then go quiet. I know someone may say turbo engine is like that one, but not comfort leh.

Bmw turbo engine runs hot. When cold is like that.

Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?

I thought such branded car shouldn't have vibration at all when engine idling.... my previous w204 no such vibrations...
Guess that's the difference between kompressor and Turbo huh

Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?

Because merc Kompressor makes the engine more compressed thus less vibration yeah ...

Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?

Just remembered that kompressor is a supercharger and not a turbocharger. Totally different way of squeezing air into the engine.

Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?

Of coz no regrets so far. W204 being on the road 6 yrs already, f30 new new. F30 can really feel 推背。
Guess really cannot get all the good points in one car ah

Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?

I'm trying to get used to it as well. Everything seems much rougher in this car.
Missed my E60 :(

Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?

Dun pay too much attention to the tiak tiak and vibration and just enjoy the drive.

Definitely much better than W204 in terms of acceleration.

Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?

I always find my ride rough. Then I drove a muscle car for half a month. After that my car no longer feel rough anymore.

No matter what E60 is a 5er while F30 is only 3er which explains the lower comfort level.
E60 is about 1.7t while F30 is about 1.6t
100kg lighter is big case liao

But on the other hand, after driving a F30 320 for a day i feel that E60 523 so lethargic
