Not ugly, good looking to me but not the best looking hatch... I actually prefer the previous gen 1 Series looks, i think TripleM had a really nice looking one. More chunky, more butch.
Best looking hatch for me prob the Alfa 147GTA 3doors and maybe some obscure old JDM hatch.

i thought the gen 1 was bad...the new ones r worse. i hv a problem with bangles legacy cars....n if u remember i did say my 530 was terrible.
alfa looks great but...drives poorly. the hot hatch kingdom is still Vw/Audi...n i m really loving the new A class...

Anyway, looks aside.. I've driven both RS3 and 1M. My opinion, the 1M makes you feel more alive. the RS3 makes you fear for your life.

vote as u wish. i m not attacking anyone. nor trying to polarised opinion. m i dun like the hatch. i rememebred jack triple M bot the first gen. i told him he is an idiot. i drove it. it felt great but i i dun like the looks.
i love the 1M n the 1 coupes looks. i know that kenn thinks the hatch looks better than the coupe.
n yes im thinking about the rs3 n the 1m coupe now..

But agree on the E46 being a good looker. Esp. the E46 M3s.

But someone told me it is very responsive.
If a topless chio bu is driving it, BEST.
