Itronics ITB-100HD Review

Re: Itronics ITB-100HD Review

IMHO, it is necessary. Just got rear ended a couple weeks back and opposite party insurer NTUC said other party report stated I cut into path causing accident and don't want to be liable for damage. I showed the video then they lan lan admitted liability. Peace of mind bro... peace of mind....

Re: Itronics ITB-100HD Review

guys, after installation, realized the recorder is blocking my high beam assistant sensor, just wondering where you guys fix
in car recorder, at the side of the rear view? Or you think it's okay to switch off the high beam assistant?

Cheers

Re: Itronics ITB-100HD Review

Sensor should be sensing light source on the outside of the windscreen while the cam in located inside... should not block.

Some of u may know that I installed 2 Blackvue HD 400G video cams about 7-8mths ago. There were reports then that there were overheating issues but I ignore them at my peril... now I'm paying the price for it.

Recently, I discovered that the front unit recording quality became very blurred. To cut the long story short, I have replaced both Blackvue with the Itronics ITB-100 HD video cams. These new cams are wider angle with 144 degrees. Was told they are very stable and much better than the BVs.

Software installation was easy enough and no need to special format like the BV. Also, there is a format function on the cam as normally a monthly format maintenance is required to ensure smooth recording for most cams. Without further ado, let me post the some pic and video shots.

I'm using Sherman's run lion tint 30% all around and I think clarity is still very good. I'm a happy puppy now! :D

Re: Itronics ITB-100HD Review

So if I do get a front and rear camera, I should get 2 Powerboxes?
Does the Powerbox really do its job effectively? (ie. cut-off when batt level reaches a certain level)
I am not keen to have a drained battery.

Thanks for the advice in advance

yes if u have a front n rear, u need a power box for each so total 2 power box. We were told that the purpose of the powerbox is to cut draining of electricity beyond 48hrs of non startup of car. Have not effectively tested it yet.
