Johor premium factory outlets

thinking about taking the wife to the new johor premium factory outlets tomorrow.

anyone been down there yet? any tips? presumably the car park is safe.

i was just in the US last month and looks like this place is managed / has the same shops as the US chain. wonder if they carry the same stuff....

take 2nd link .... tuas > exit 304 > exit 302A ... huge road sign ... won't miss ... arrived in 10-15mins
carpark is free but last heard got gantry liao but $0 deduction
shops wise ... 70% same same like USA outlet but pricing wise miles away ... do not expect the USA price
price wise ... some are steal but mostly comparable to spore price (on sale)
foodcourt ... give it a miss ... cannot make it ... there are few restaurants ... can try Tang Shifu (same as KSL in JB)

when i was in california, i spent whole day (> 10hours) at Gilroy premium outlet
i spent < 1 hour in JPO and head straight to restaurant

there is plan for 2nd phase .... let's see

...Bichester the biggest shop...tt time i went la...i found...was only Burberries ley....oso bit 2 past seasoned...

..le rest oso ....ehh....like so so onli ley...personal view la..:chinese: .havent been there past year liow la..maybe beta liow la..

...hee...but heng got Jamie Oliver's yummy wedges there 2 make me happi....

heard tht the outlet sells all the branded stuffs but at a super high price.. smth like RM8,000.. say if convert back to SIN, not much of a difference..

went to JPO this morning - arrived at exactly 10am into a nearly empty car park.

about 15min drive after malaysia immigration.

some big brands but good deals few and far between. if fact saw a pair of shoes at nike factory which i bought yesterday at queensway for $10 cheaper.

let the wife and her friend walk around and browse - they bought a couple of items but no hurry to return.

overall dissappointing.

when leaving around 2.30pm there was a long line of cars to get into the carpark. appeared to be mostly malaysians.

Most brands appeared to be selling at retail prices..... Ferragamo, Burberry, Coach, and even Nike and Adidas are not cheap at all. Wife commented that only Levi's, Guess and AJ (not GA/EA) are slightly cheaper. A/X, Ralph all not opened yet.

Yes!! I headed straight there immediately after I collected my car at London Heathrow.... all my fatigue, jetlag whatever were momentarily gone!

I knew it's such a waste of time. Asians are just plain crazy going to places like this so the word factory outlet is still far from being real bargains IMO.
I am sticking to HangTen....
