Nothing to worry, take it as it comes, relax and whack the car, run in faster then hit top speed to try the wind noise, if any :p

Hi Bro , i just got my F30 last friday and do you know what is the appropriate speed to drive before run in ?

250km/h... but before that, please make sure all 4 wheels is jacked/hoist up first

Bro kon.. Technically speaking using the method you described, we will never get the speedo to register anything over 0km/h correct and therefore will never reach 250km/h? Hahaha.. :p

thank you all...counting down...hr by hr...:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Congrats on your new ride ! ... am one of those who had "caressed" your new love .. brought my friend to see the other 3 series on displayed at the 1st level and was quite concern of the quality of this new model, eg. doors felt rather light like lack of insulation, finishes do not seem to be of quality,etc. until I come across your car and find its built was damn solid and the interior carbon fibre finishes so cool, which is what I would expect of BMW .. you only live once, good choice ! .. hope the drive is just as good, so give us an update .. Cheers :)

I used to drive like below 100 for the 1st day until my SA tell me that its already pre run in..... Upon hearing that, then its full acceleration. But appropriate speed is to keep within the speed limit of Singapore roads.

Somehow the fully loaded 520 don't appeal to me, don't even want to molest that car when I was there with Seyfeicai. We end up drooling at the F30 M performance accessories.

Thanks bro , my SA told me to keep cool until 2K mileage , yesterday was happily doing it around 130km/h . Oops but I like the feeling of the car asking for more.

u wanna follow the proper safe way, stay below 3,000rpm for the 1st 1000km, then below 4,000 for the 1,001-5,000km. But frankly after 100km, I din bother and WOT, song! :yummie:

bro thats beautifying interior, not built is damn solid. The M Performance panels do not improve insulation but the Alcantara portion helps to reduce abit of vibrations hahahhahaa

and PML would have achieved their marketing then, making ppl believe a done up Sports version is a proper solid ride hahahahaa

Bro .. I know what you are saying, but this done up one definitely felt more "solid", esp when closing the door .. I wonder if additional insulation was done when replacing the parts because at that time I also "caressed" those units at 1st floor but the feel was totally different, in fact those doors felt rather "hollow". We have read of some F30 owners complaining the poor insulation of their ride, so if TS does not complain then the changes made is good isn't it .. that's why I have asked for an update on the drive : )

Your vision is playing tricks on you, I have the M Performance interior parts, the only thing that was enhanced in the door r the handles in dry carbon and nothing else, they possibly do not improve insulation. I dun think PML will bother to do SP on the doors and if so, they would declare it since its additional money but this choice shld be left to the consumer, as while it improves insulation (so-called), it adds considerable weight, which dun make sense for a 3 series, u wan a solid quiet ride for a Bimmer, 7 series :cloud9:

I've learnt the hard way but also accept this hard fact, and while I'm peeved by the insulation quality, I like the handling and power delivery, and appreciate my other Lexus more cos its damn quiet! :oops:
