though one has longer warranty, if they keep screwing up, then might as well go for shorter warranty one. Somemore J4C's warranty is same length of time as PML, u dun lose out in that sense too.

starblack keep screwing up servicing and warranty?

this nex one is gonna be a keeper. hence it helps to have longer warranty. selling it with warranty also helps. what say u?

No la, I don't know them well, I mean IF they are not that good, then no point.

Longer warranty useful of course when you sell. People who don't know, will think garmen linked company is good mah :chinese: But again, whether that will fetch you a higher selling price I am not very sure. BMW no problem with selling, so got longer warranty or not, may not make a very very big difference. Even if it does, marginal amount...? This will depends on the market and dealers' perception of the warranty, so I am not sure of that......

So important thing is not when you sell, but what you are going to experience during your ownership. The "costs" of that could be substantial, in terms of time spent, frustration, quality of work, etc.

agreed la bro. but u know how many ppl who buy bimmers actually quite scared of their rides breaking down. so if have 5 yrs warranty can give them peace of mind.

Re: Juzz 4 Cars or Starblack???

My PI 320i E93 is covered under Starblack, 5 years warranty first servicing free.

My car computer asked me to go for first servicing around 20k, the date given in car computer is exactly one year from my purchase in Aug09.
But Starblack got free first servicing at 1000km. I was thinking to get my first FREE servicing at one year later, but decided to go early at 3000km.
I worried that Starblack might come out with funny excuses when I need to claim warranty eventually, blaming me for not coming in at 1000km, 5000km, 10000km...etc. The consultant at starblack reminded me to go back at 5000km for servicing.

Now I am concerned, whether I should religiously go for oil change every 5k interval as recommended by starblack. The cost might adds up more than offical BMW cars purchased from PML.
But heck it, the savings I get from buying from PI is already alot, and can cover the servicing fees lah.

I feel if J4C does not impose the short oil change interval, maybe its better to go with J4C, cheaper in the long run (comparing Star and J4C).

No comments on repairs, or other claims issues with starblack, as very happy with my car so far.

thanks bro.

was under the impression that servicing even at starblack is 10, 20, 30?

going in every 5k is gonna be dam costly and unecessary.
