Kenntona's 335: The Crazy Mod Diary

re: Kenntona's 335: The Crazy Mod Diary

I wonder if DPE make any rims that has the valve stems that are at the spoke edge?

re: Kenntona's 335: The Crazy Mod Diary

I guess the design are for the US domestic market. May be terry can tell us whether he can pump air in normal petrol kiosk?

Below is what terry told me:

i have the same problems too...from what i know all DPEs are like that :)

re: Kenntona's 335: The Crazy Mod Diary

No mod no problem ! more mod more problem ! hahahaha.

re: Kenntona's 335: The Crazy Mod Diary

Not problem, challenges!

Ken, Omar and I just bought our rims without much research... I tell you, all our hearts in the mouth when we went to fit them on. Questions like "can clear brakes?" "offset okay?" "can clear coilovers" "chio?" "what tires?" "what width tires?"

LAGI STRESS I tell you! And being the 1st, I can questioned like nobody's business... ALL IN THE NAME OF MODDING THE DAMN CAR! :)

Yep, some designs. OLL's (now OLL7's) R16 has valves near the spokes.

If u pump with nitrogen, it should be fine for a few months...
Jack says 2-3 weeks check interval......

Yep. The anticipation of the parts, then come the execution. What can be done and what cannot...... everything was rather smooth except the exhaust mod...... from cutting bumper to lengthening the Hamann diffuser...... but yes, the results from the challenging process is sweet.

Yeah I go there at night to see what you doing there? hahaha:nehnehhh:

re: Kenntona's 335: The Crazy Mod Diary

I usually pump 225kpa front / 255kpa rear, after 2 weeks it becomes 220/250. very accurate as they are digitally controlled. After terry brought up the tyre pressure issue, I have sort of increased a bit to 230 /260. ( Jack suggested to increase abit on the pressure)

re: Kenntona's 335: The Crazy Mod Diary

mine 325 stock brakes doesnt hit the valve for DPE ... so i think only for 335 brakes that will hit the valve as their rotor size is bigger ...

May I know whether you can pump air at the petrol kiosk? Valve stem usually hide inside the rim and difficult for the air stick to reach.

Even if it reaches, be careful not to scratch the area arnd the stem. I tried with my 21s, and almost left a mark. Lucky me... :juggle:
