that means those bros who bought the 5er also got the same kind of leather as u? mine is black so also cannot see....but i do find the quality a bit the......=(

I feel short change too on the quality
Light colour everything is obvious and noticeable

7 series uses premium calf hide
5 series uses good cow hide
3 series uses cheap cow/pig hide and half synthetic leather...or residue from the bull's foreskin....

Residue from Bull foreskin are good leather cos very stretchable so likelyhood used in the steering especially the M3 Nappa leather steering....

Yup..thats why the steering is divided to 3 segment...Bull's one not too long ...Sometimes its also used in 5 series headrest for those unsuspecting corkhead's rest...

Suku, i got the same problem as you.. also 2 months.. i am still waiting to get my leather replaced. Can you PM me so that we can go down PML together to bang their tables together.

Your peeling is the exact same place as mine.

All the peeling on the white/beige leather? Mine black, 6 mths liao still OK.

I thought 318i comes with leatherette, only 320i give Dakota?

Yup bro, suppose to be 320i and above but PML has thrown in additional perks for 318i during then.
That is why we have Dakota leather too for 318i

Back seats are fine only driver kana, I actually gotten the approval already am waiting for the part to arrive. You have to hound them for response, it took them one and half month, somehow I think they are playing delay.The irony is the first service advisor tell me the peeling is due to wear and tear..they don't feel a bit paid say giving such excuse:thinking:

No tuck sound from aircon but very light click sound from driver seat belt area.

Ok noted. My front 2 seats are affected. I will push them for an answer.
The tuck sound is irrating at times, I will wan to get it fix too.
I will update u again soon on my status

are these factory fitted leather?

my 520 a number of years ago was j___speed leather. it has the same issue. Was told by j___speed that I must not wear belt when seated. but was eventually resolved when pml told them to change

Yes they are direct frm factory, it comes with it when I purchase the car from PML

mine F10 leather tear too,only 4 months
they took photos ,more than 1 month still no reply
after CNY wll give them a wake up call

fyi 318 is not dakota leather its not even leather
its bmw "leatherette" i.e. fabric which is suppose to be more durable than leather my previous car facelifted 318i 2 years nvr give me such problem def something is wrong
