Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

next time should that happened again, you should just throw a handkerchief or show your face, the horsin will come to your rescue.... or just blast and enjoy the stereo in your car song song and pissed the rest instead of yourself.

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

Yes, if u come out from car, drivers behind sure all Dash out to help and may even fight to be the one who will lift the barrier for u.

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

yup incessant honking is one.

the other is flashing high beam, and i'm not talking about going slow on the extreme right lane. just reasonably fast speed according to the limit on the centre lane, yet pple wants to come close to you and flash their bright HID. a side note to this are those who knowingly or unknowingly left their headlights on high beam. very irritating too.

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

I hate road hoggers.

Road hoggers should be fined heavily and penalised with a 6-demerit-point deduction. Those who refused to give way to ambulances should be given a 12-point deduction.

And those taxi with one-highbeam mods. TP/LTA should take actions against these dangerous mods. Lui - take note.

And motobikes squeezing in between the first two lanes. I am fine with them travelling on the left lanes, but the fast lanes are too dangerous for both car drivers and motorcyclists alike. BTW, how could the Harleys passed the decibel tests? Irrelevant.

End of rant.

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

If I middle or left lane (with spac to overtake in right) and I kenna highbeam my foot automatic come off the throttle Liao.... Down to golf kart speed

Totally agree on the road hoggers. Personally no matter the speed limit, always give way to the faster vehicle. Maybe its an emergency, maybe its life and death or even simply for the sake of driving fast. If wanna cruise, do it on the centre lane, no one will high beam. If not, just cover the distance with the front vehicle.

The permanent one-eye cab is very irritating, don't understand why LTA is also closing one-eye.

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

nb motorbikers...u knn like to squeeze to the front and then when light turns green u cb kias take ur own sweet time to move off. Some of you still can chit chat with other bikers like u are in some park.

I hope bird shit drops on ur helmet and cannot clean off

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

This morning I was on my Vespa and got tailgated by an MPV on the left-most lane... same as Mock, drop to golf buggy speed. The driver eventually noticed there were two other lanes and overtook while showing a hand signal (so to speak).

Inevitably... I can't even count how many times it's happened... the one on the bike catches up at a stop light and the one in the car instantly goes from hero to zero and dares not even make eye contact.

It's fun making small people feel small.

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

my greatest pet peeve are those drivers who cut dangerously across 3 lanes / 4 lanes or however many lanes from extreme left to go on the fast lane and cruise at speed limit.

same set of drivers cruise on the fast lane then suddenly jam brake (no direction signal), wanna filter left across 4 lanes to make it to their exit with only meters to spare, when an annoyed honk is given, then they give a GL give left signal.

CB radios all these....

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

I love road-hoggers.

I will overtake them and slow down and let them have a taste of their own medicine....haha!

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

Is travelling at 105kmh on the right most lane considered as road hogging in your book ?

or what is considered normal for you ?

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

Dictionary:
Noun 1. road hog - a driver who obstructs others

In my book, it doesn't matter what speed. :)

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

Road hogging is not about what speed you're going at; there is no "normal" speed. If you're on the outside lane and holding back a driver from overtaking - even at 250kph on the NSH - you're a road hog. Oink.

Re: Let's talk about Drivers...Driving Experiences...

Road hogging is when:

- you are NOT overtaking; and/or
- you are cruising with no car in front but one or more cars behind you; and/or
- other cars can overtake you from the left lanes (means you could have driven on the left lanes)

Speed is irrelevant.

And please, don't cite speed limit as an excuse.

Remember "KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING" unless you took your highway code in Timbuktu.

Yes in Mali, people drive on the right side of the road. So it's KEEP RIGHT UNLESS OVERTAKING :screwedu:

Ever since I join this forum , I've learnt to activate the wiper spray when someone is flashing and overtaking me when I'm driving 120km/h at the first lane :)

Best feeling
