Loud screeching sound during braking.

Help!!!

Recently replaced my brembo brake pads due to wear and tear...
Initially when i heard the loud screeching noises, i thought it was cause the pads were new and haven't run-in yet.

But right now, after almost 2 weeks... The loud screeching sound still has not been solved.

It happens everytime i brake slightly harder... During hot/cold/wet/dry weather, before/after car wash.

Has anyone encountered this problem and has a solution?
I sound like a bloody lorry trying desperately to brake.

is it your rotor?

certain big brake kit has screeching sound when they are stopping.

Other than "waiting for it to run-in", did you follow proper bed-in procedures, eg: StopTech : Balanced Brake Upgrades ?

Its the pads HErman, super hard thats why. Same as race cars, shiok

I got my brake pads changed recently too and I also noticed the screeching sound initially. But it went away after 2-3 weeks.

dude, you're not driving fast enough or braking hard enough... seriously...

you need to bed-in your brakes.

whirring - yes. screeching - prob not, unless you are on super aggressive race-spec pads.

simple solution: chamfer the edges of your pad, to create a distinct 45 degree bevelled edge. It will eliminate a large part of the squeak.

I thought it's common? Depending on what kinda screeching actually and 2 weeks is not long if you're talking about running in the brakes... What kinda distance have you done?

whats the brand of the pads. OEM brembo rotors? Also all calipers / rotors squealing or just 1?
