so, F30 335 vs F80 M3 will be same engine different tune too?
another debate will start why pay more for ///M with the same engine

well.. if can afford, the M3 is a better car hands down.. why the debate? unless the person is stretching to own an M3 and self justify that the 335 is a better car? Basically in self denial mode??

Thats why there is a differentiation of the range.. Normal 3 series, M performance and //M

Same for Audi.. normal A, S series then RS series..

buying cars is a luxury.. get whichever is financially comfortable and of personal preference is the answer..

kenntona.. its a realistic statement.. cos a person may have many or no commitments.. single vs married.. kids vs no kids.. just go with something which is comfortable on the pocket and puts a smile on the face while driving.. else later regret change car waste more $$..

I can see your point, but I am not sure that's valid across the board for all cases.

I have seen people who can afford a GT3 or a 911 Turbo just contented with a Boxster S. He cited lifestyles and social groups. He switched to a C2S cab.

I have also seen someone with an M3 but laden with debts.

As superficial as the mob, I used to judge the marques and relate it to the affordabilities of the owners, but over the last few years, I realised that there are a lot of people whom we cannot judge at all. He really could just needed and hence bought a 335, and then have the option to move up the curve to an M3 or higher.

sometimes ppl dont buy according to the depth of their pockets...like some who can afford to stay in condos prefer to stay in HDBs...

yup i agree with u.. its not valid across the board.. thats why i keep focusing on whichever the person feels he is comfortable and happy with.. drive nice car but cannot afford to upkeep also no point..

but car for car.. M3 confirm better than 335.. worth the premium? to each his own..

something wrong, just parked the car at changi airport and fly back home

i have seen alot of europeans working in singapore buying a M3 with full loan and no upfront payment . I was shocked initially but every man meat can be some other ppl poison hahha
