M3 In Valencia Orange?

Hi All,

This may sound daft but I am considering swapping my e93 for a Valencia Orange e92. I know all the talk that if you want a 4-seater cab, the best out there is the e93 and it should not be compared with the e92 but if you were in my situation and the numbers kinda add up, will you...

1) Swap a cab for coupe as you are bothered by the additional weight and have no real need for a cab (the cab was used when I traded in so no choice then).

2) Get a Valencia Orange M3? When I showed the pics of the car to someone (obviously not too into, but knows about cars), the comment I got was "Nice 1M"

Appreciate your views.

Thanks.

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

Erm whats wrong with a 1M? Also not surprising for someone to get mistaken as Valencia orange was supposed to be exclusive to the 1M..

Please don't buy the same car twice. Only Americans who pay peanuts for their cars do that.

Hey, no offence. I meant it just as a case of mistaken identity. The 1M is fabulous - just can't get it anymore (although they have offered to indent one for me)...

The cab and coupe are different cars. Anyway, I have owned 2 R35s and Mk5 GTis. It's still good fun.

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

Guess it depends how much the performance matters to you...but having driven the E93 and E92...I'd say the difference in speed is so great that I wouldn't even consider getting the E93.

If you love the colour then why not get it?

There is a frozen white that I "love" more. It's a great combo with the black rims, but for reasons I will not share, I cannot accept the car as it is... so have no choice but to get VO.

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

I agree!! I saw a frozen white M3 with black rims, the carbon rear spoiler on the streets in HK a few weeks back, looks amazing at night, haven't seen it during the day yet though...I probably shouldn't let you know that frozen colours are extremely easy to maintain then... :) Good luck deciding what to do

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

Sure? I heard from MA that hairlines show up more clearly in frozen colors. And you need a different type of wax for it. Ya, that said, it's very "chio". The interior of the one I saw had extended leather with white stitching to match...

I'd like to know more, as in under normal driving conditions? I find you really need to prod the accelerator for the car to move from standstill. Just feels a bit cumbersome and not so alert. I have not tried the top end for a cab (still running in) but in an e90. Not sure if the cab will be similar...

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

big difference?
due to 200kg? i tried e92 but havent e93...that bad ah?

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

In regards to the frozen colour - I haven't noticed any swirl marks at all! even under direct car park lights at night it still looks as matte as the day I got it. I have the car washed something like every 2 days at the local shell petrol station. You can buy specific matte paint wax and paint cleaner etc...I haven't bothered doing it to my car yet but maybe later on. I find that because it reflects a lot less light, you really notice the lines of the car more, especially with the front bumper. My old e92 M3 was Jerez black and I didn't notice a lot of the details on the car until I bought this FG one.

I'm not sure about the e93 M3 for daily driving if there's much difference, but I know when you're going fast, it definitely feels slower, especially once you start getting up to around 120km/h+. Both cars I tried were DCT as well, I think the e93 looks great with the roof down but I don't really like it with the roof up, but then again I really prefer soft top convertibles...

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

VO is nice, unique...

Post a picture to share. Haven't seen a VO M3 if its just one unit.

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

Ok, just so everyone knows, that Valencia Orange E92 M3, the only one in the world, atleast at the moment. Is going to be sold VERY soon as I know we have some offers or it. So if the thread starter is keen, now is probably a good time. :)

Buy what you like will be the best...........

cheers

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

The grill and side gills change to gloss black, rims change to matt black, give it a wing spoiler, keep the 2 rear seats at home and you've got yourself a VO GTS! Seriously i think it looks brilliant especially the gloss black roof! If looks of the car is the issue, then mai tu liao! Anyway you will be the only one in the world to own a VO E92 M3 (for now)...but does look a little 1M-ish...tsk tsk...
