Ok, just so everyone knows, that Valencia Orange E92 M3, the only one in the world, atleast at the moment. Is going to be sold VERY soon as I know we have some offers or it. So if the thread starter is keen, now is probably a good time. :)

Shawn

Nope. It's the second one in the world.

See the other one in the link below.

Now you must buy my J's Racing brakes or give me an //M umbrella.

Well, I get the factory black Y rims as an enticement. They complete the look. The silver stands out too much imo. Now where do I get the black grill and side indicators...?

Actually I think our car might have been ordered before that car. But yes now there's 2 boss. :) still thinking about the brakes. The rims won't clear based on offset.

Champwhite: are you the gentleman negotiating the deal with James n Justin? You can get "Black Chrome" BMW Original part Kidney Grilles and Side Indicators from us. :)

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

shd be called RUSTY ORANGE....bright orange best! GTS color

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

I think if you try to sell it next time, there will be limited demand. But if money no issue, then just go with your heart. I am not a fan of black rims but I agree the VO can only go with black rims.

Re: M3 In Valencia Orange?

I feel that VO looks better on the 1M. It doesn't seem to bring out the carbon roof very well on the M3 at least when judging from the picture.

+1. Colours specific to certain models can look odd on others, no matter how nice they are.

Exhibit A: E92M in Phoenix Yellow :shakehea:

Kinda agree with Clar..a VO M3 doesn't really stand out..looks better on a smaller 1M. IMO a Alpine White, Frozen Grey and Atacama Yellow will be my top choice colour for the M3. But its all a personal preference..

Hi All,

This may sound daft but I am considering swapping my e93 for a Valencia Orange e92. I know all the talk that if you want a 4-seater cab, the best out there is the e93 and it should not be compared with the e92 but if you were in my situation and the numbers kinda add up, will you...

1) Swap a cab for coupe as you are bothered by the additional weight and have no real need for a cab (the cab was used when I traded in so no choice then).

2) Get a Valencia Orange M3? When I showed the pics of the car to someone (obviously not too into, but knows about cars), the comment I got was "Nice 1M"

Appreciate your views.

Thanks.

There's nothing wrong with selling the e93 for a e92 if you really like the specs on the e92. I've owned a e93 and changed to e90. In between while waiting for the e90 to be delivered, I drove the e92 and really felt the difference between the e93 and e92. it's quite obvious at any speed you can feel the extra weight on the e93, especially on b-roads.

VO on the M3 and on the 1M are quite different when being compared. Definitely can't be mistaken. In terms of size, the M3 is a lot bigger than the 1M and also the body lines are very different. It really depends on your own preference.

good luck on your decision...

Sure? I heard from MA that hairlines show up more clearly in frozen colors. And you need a different type of wax for it. Ya, that said, it's very "chio". The interior of the one I saw had extended leather with white stitching to match...

Frozen colors is always different, attractive and stand out from the crowd... but it isn't as easy to maintain as every say it is... there will always be chemical stains left on the paint and nothing can remove it... although it might not be so visible but it's definitely there. also, not to forget about stone chips. once the paint is chipped, it becomes metallic and good luck in getting it re-sprayed to match the original paint when you sell it... :)

Thanks for sharing your experience. I felt the same way when I drove the e90 and you have validated it. Cheers!

It's better in real metal. Photos just cant seem to bring out the VO color. Anyway, there was a yellow (not sure what yellow but it's quite a strong yellow) one there but I think VO looks better. Ya, frozen white was my first choice... pity.

I am not sure why u say this, from experience? My personal experience indicates that frozen colours are effortless to maintain. It's the easiest colour to maintain by a long shot. I don't do anything, no waxing, etc...I send it for manual car wash at the Caltex station along Alexandra road that's all. The paint job hides dirt very well and there is no water mark. I like it so much i have 2 oredi. In fact, my next M car will still be FG. I have not had enough of it yet :p

yes, by experience... some has different views then others. I am glad you have not had any issues with your paint...

as much as i love frozen colors, i am also considering a frozen white for my next car, but it does take a lot of effort to maintain the paint... and it's not easy to recover if anything goes wrong

Hey bro, at the end of the day, if it pleases your eyes, it's the best colour there is. Sounds like u got a good deal worked out. Why wait any longer? Life is short, so enjoy it!

By going wrong, u mean kenna scratched or some physical damage? Did u have a FG previously?

yup or simply stone chips

I see what u mean. I think it boils down to definition of maintenance. I generally refer to it as day to day living with the car, which includes dealing with the rain and dirt. I used to own a jet black car and it was a beauty when washed (or waxed), but a piece of shit if u put it through a light drizzle. For physical damage, i tend to look upon it as being equal matt paint or not as in both cases, u are likely to have to re-spray the affected surfaces. For light damage like minor scratches, frozen colours hide them pretty well.
