Tattoo seow, excellent review. Ive had 2 matt cars, a 63 falcon and a67 pontiac, both of them were simple to maintain. Here is the falcon which was that matt colour, then it was matt black and now about to be painted matt purple with flames. Suede rules.

Not just yet ...... but the idea of wrapping is great....! just imagine a touring car colour scheme ...woot ...im gonna do some homewrok on this ....

Bro, seen my installer took some panel off after installation due to big bubble, paintwork beneath still looks new without scratches. Installer mentioned no worries, just tear it off and paint work will still looks new. honestly this is what he says so i hv to trust them since they been ard for long time.

IMO, Worst thing that might happen is the paintwork will be blurish due to the adhesive, nothing a Good Groomer cant solve.

Just my 2cts...

The glue from the sticker will bite into ur paint job. Eventually, u'll need to respray a whole top coat.

I know it cos i've done it years back for a car show. Left the stickers on for 2mths plus. Groomer tried his best but eventually settled for a respray.

FYI..

I think it depends on the type of vinyl your sticker-shop used. I have recently peeled off the Oracal tint on my fog lights - no residual at all. Has been there for over a year......

Yep...I saw a GTR rewrapped with matte 'silver-blue' (flight jet colour) ... then another VW R32 rewrapped in matte orange, and a matte red VW GTi. I'm sure there's a range of colours to choose from.

can u let us know what brand stickers did your installer use. Did you go back to ur installer and ask them why it had happened? poor quality stickers used or generally all sticker brands will give the same result.

Have have, RED, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink and etc.... but oni the standard colours . If RED means red, u will not have like light RED, Dark RED, Geylang RED.

I cant comment on the quality of stickers cos I'm not well verse in that.

Incidentally, I have Oracal vinyl on other parts of my car too. Can see my mod diary. See no issue with that.

My bonnet is going through the oracle now... next week removing... considering the heat and all, i am waiting to see whats the damage if any. I cant comment yet but if no damage, gonna do same pattern on the roof too
