Dear fellow members,

Apologies for being a busybody again but i felt i had to write this post to alert and educate our fellow forumers abt such cases since i happen to know both of the victims.

I am not too sure how many guys were affected but this thread should serve to alert u guys and perhaps for other victims to join in.
in short, if i don't post, the 2 of em or even more will probably suck thumb n keep quiet and there might be future cases and/or more victims.

If you guys recall, there was a F10 dekitting recently.

1) Bro Sprawler - Victim 1

Seller was claiming that he was selling a original Msports kit from MA and he could even produce MA invoices.
As i was working to dekit the lights he got from me, i noticed the kit looked like its from J's magic which i asked him and he confirmed it.
Coincidentally, Bro Centurion9990 received a sms from this seller that claims its MA kit which i advised him not to get as i had doubts abt the authenticity of it.

Unfortunately, Bro Sprawler bought it and at J magic, he discovered its indeed a kit from them and not MA as claimed. Story's pretty complicated with police reports made by the seller against Bro Sprawler for harassment (ya rite, fake address then MIA, then sprawler finds him, he call cops say sprawler harass him). Luckily, the IO heard Bro Sprawler's case and have launched further investigations.

Seller in the end refunded him and gave his kit to him to shut him up.

Will let bro sprawler write abt his case here if he wants to.

2) Bro Hengster - Victim 2

Bro Hengster got the exos from the seller.
Seller claims its eissenman sports, legal and got cert so closed the deal.
so after a month of father hospitalised, going overseas to work and numerous appt to meet at VICOM, seller never turned up and there was no cert.
to rub salt into the wound, Bro Hengster earlier went with seller to C workshop that sold the exos, the salesman can claim invoice which stated Eissenman Race was a typo, and that it was sports.

Bro Hengster after many visits to LTA, managed to get LTA to confirm, that exos was indeed a Race and there was never any record of it in LTA records.

Seller MIA again, sms never reply.

Will let Bro Hengster state his own case here.

and for the benefit of fellow members, only Unicorn and KBS are authorised for the Eissenman exos.
any workshops that sells u the exos and claims it got cert, pls make sure of that.
Bro Sprawler just kena again, tot he got eissenman sports for cheap from C workshop and then is told to ownself get the paperwork done. without even a cert, dun think he can get it done as VICOM will reject him outright, only alternative is to suck thumb, pay 1k+ to either authorised importers to get it done.

Let's hope there will be no more such cases occurring in our beloved forum.
pls be more discerning when carrying out your purchases, regardless of from us site sponsors or fellow members

Too many frivilous claims and dodgy sellers nowadays.

The absurd mentality of making claims and lies only seek to fool the mob and the fanboys and ultimately, sales. Zero liability, all upside. Open your eyes, ask questions and scrutinise.

Especially on deals too good to be true.

If the seller or trumpet blower gets angry when challenged, a wise mind should be able to see the weight of the claim.

This is unlike the old days, where there was more trust. Nowadays, much scepticism is needed.

dun OT, this is not 2277 thread :p

Huh?

2277 could be your customer for all I care, but this is NOT about 2277. No reference was made to them at all.

This is about many "phantom sellers" lurking in the forum. I have not seen so many before.

Re: Members Alert!! Fraud cases in forum

Good post  to Steve for keeping fellow forumers informed, especially the newbies or naive or simply to lazy to ask/research around.

Also when it is too much of a bargain to be true, it is probably not true.

Therefore, I only go to authorised entities or do some research myself before any action on my part. Time spent doing some research is ultimately less compared to all the hassle and time wasting if fraud case.

Re: Members Alert!! Fraud cases in forum

well, for this case, this is not even a too good to be true case.

sprawler was quoted 2k+ for used original msport kit which is pretty much the going rate, except that seller was selling a used j magic kit thats 2k+ when brand new and he had the nerve to come up with a fake MA invoice, sibei smart sia.

as for hengster, also same thing...2k+ for used eissenman again at going rate.
turns out not a sport, but a race...of cos no cert despite all the earlier assurances.

both buyers closed the deal in good faith but kena dua.

both cases are not deals that are too true to be good.
the only one too good to be true is probably Sprawler's exos from C workshop.....he probably having a headache now

Re: Members Alert!! Fraud cases in forum

Oh just to add on...

I think while it was not Sszone's intention when he kept mentioning kit was from J's Magic, I feel that I need to make a statement on this lest people misunderstand that Sszone is implying the kit is inferior. J's Magic sells kits of all types be they original ones or "modelled" in the original 's styling. It is up to the buyer to decide what he or she wants based on his/her budget and expectations.

That said, my personal opinion is their aftermarket kits modelled in the original styling are of good quality. In this case, the buyers wanted original kits. That's fair. Just don't go thinking (unless you have 1st hand experience ) that J's Magic sells inferior kits, which I think this thread seems to be leaning towards.

Again, I strongly believe this was NOT Sszone's intention and I applaud him for actually raising this "fraud" as a reminder to forummers that if u don't research and blindly ask n follow then Caveat Emptor. Don't go accusing forum for being a hot bed for fraud

Why you scold yourself? Stressful day ah?

Re: Members Alert!! Fraud cases in forum

thanks MW.
i never say inferior....just that j's kit is priced lower than MA ones so this seller is trying to pull a fast one trying to sell the j's kit he got as an MA one. J's kit abt 2k+ brand new so normal practice for used is probably to sell for 1k+ perhaps.
this f-er smoked ppl, even centurion9990 (he still got that sms) that his is MA one.
Sprawler showed me the MA invoice with detailed breakdown.
he still ask sprawler to pay some labour charges to J for his own dekit
J's magic and Sprawler together confronted this F-er.

lastly, aftermarket items does not means inferior....as long as seller maintains standard in QC and workmanship.
