yeah ... used to be 0W40 and now change to 5W30 .. MA too ... don't know why

now then say W40 is thick and W30 is smoother after donkey years :screwedu:

lucky did not buy the 0W40 from shop n Save as PML change the oil grade to 5w30 liao..

no choice but to follow else warranty void if you free issue oil...

if you want to play safe.. from bmw manual

Mobil 1 0W40 or Castrol 5W30..

did some reading.. castrol's 5W30's viscosity is almost like w40...

so any LL-01 will do

Bro porky, can I use 0w30 mobil 1 for my f10 523? S2k says mobil 1 w30 better than w40

from what i read...

any SAE 0W30 5W30 0W40 5W40 will do
but i suspect for xW30 may need to top up more often in between oil changes

0W30 will give slightly better performance cos of the thinner oil

bring own oil mobil 0w40 8 bottles. book online thurs 8am, alternative date wed 8am.
