If the cylinder diameter is oversize as compared to the piston size, I reconmend using SAE140W gear oil instead...

After browsing thru numerous webpage, it seems like 5-30 that meet LL-04 could be use to replace 0-40 as it is able to sustain high temperature & high shear. The problem is that it is very hard to source it in Singapore.

For e.g. Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30, Amsoil European Car Formula 5W-30, Castrol Edge 5-30

5-50 too heavy for N52. The correct spec for N52 is 5-30 LL01w. Alternative is Mobil 1 0-40 (European Car Formula).
