Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

can we appeal to garmen to make things simpler? Its crazy for consumers to have to understand so many technical terms just to make sure we dont get ripped off.

How can buying n selling b so bloody technical? Is garmen really helping citizens here, or layering us with more & more policies, just for the sake of "being hardworking"?

BMW's car OMV for BMW ASIA as sole importer is something like "internal cost transfer", which they can "price" it anyway they want?

If that is the case, what about Audi and Merc - are they competing in level playing field?
Transfer pricing is a hot topic in a lot of countries. If there is any issue, Germany government would have catch it.

i already made a silent killer move.. hehe

Just to update, my item went missing on tuesday. Personally dropped by Munich on wed to ask on status of item, cannot be found. Spoke to service manager and expect response by Friday. End of Friday, no sight or sound. Had to call Aftersales director to highlight to him on the non accountability. Finally called on sat morning after the Aftersales director committed to me, they would do something. Service manager says they will get a replacement for me by early next week and send it to me.

This is how Munich works.. No accountability.. Bo Chup.. Take M customer's words lightly, maybe cos I look young and not rich enough??

The intent of the staff who took the item out of my centre armrest storage space where I just send in my car to fix my rim is very wrong.

They have been so called "reviewing" the matter for the past 4 days with no news. BMW Asia is now aware of the matter and looking into it. The longer it is there is no news from them, the more severe I would push this whole saga to.

this i would agree with you. Make no biz sense and wld applaud MA in trying to make up for a low OMV with a slightly higher COE. End of day, it is TS decision on whether a slightly higher COE can defray the lower OMV that he has.

I am not sure what is the ballpark OMV for MA's E92 as this information is not available on One Motoring and a check on sgcarmart has quite a wide range. I can only say that my OMV of my MA E92 is much more than TS.

Well, I just hope that both parties can come to a conclusion that both can accept

actually information for ballpark omv for E92 M3 is available, under facts and figures section of one motoring website. its the average omv of cars registered in previous month. I'm kicking up a very big fuss now for the fact that they had to con me to make me buy the car by giving the excuse that the omv is not known where right from the start, i already explicit focus on the omv and warned on pursuing the matter if omv was low. I gave them prior warning. Since they have not heeded my warning, the current course of actions has to be taken.

The only way to appease me now, I want my current E92 M3 returned to them, and register a brand new full spec 2011 E92 M3 with my unused COE. They made the mistake, they have to pay for it.

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

IMO you made the mistake of taking delivery of the car...you should refuse the car and ask for a new one on the basis of low omv...if they refuse, then maybe you seek legal advice or something...now you have taken it, took their compensation..turn around and complained of poor service (rightfully so) and demand a new ride? Would seem you have no case here.

I feel for you that this experience has turned out to be a nightmare for you...hopefully u guys can reach some middle ground....

if i refuse to take delivery, it wont change things. Cos the car had been registered. furthermore, they had the "thats all we can do attitude". I compromised abit looking at the big picture and assumed that they would do good with aftersales service but the matter went from bad to worse. I do know, I have some slight disadvantage, but I'm not making a mountain out of a molehill. There is absolute basis of my complaints, so if Munich doesn't do anything, I'll go to BMW Asia.

To me, experience is bad, but its not a nightmare cos I do have time to pursue this matter and see it to the end. The new car is something that I would say it would truly make me move on, since they ever asked in what way they could do to make me a happy M customer. And I do understand that is a very tall order to fulfil.

One thing I never understood is why 7 series owners, even the cheapest 730 ones, are treated like kings but if I buy a $500k full options M5, I have to line up with the 520s...hurhur

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

Dont mind me saying this. One you took delivery and in admission u compromised on what they offered u. Case close to them in their perspective. Second u complain poor service. Nth wrong here n they shld take responsibility. But to change a car on this basis seem far fetched especially to them yr omv case is closed cos u accepted e car. If u hv not taken delivery, yes case is not settled n u have stronger case. Anw keep us dated. Hope they compensate u in some way or another

Just to update,

the matter has been resolved and all misunderstandings and mis-communications have been cleared. Certain issues just happen to be wrong place, wrong timing.

Munich Automobiles, has been forthcoming and sincere. They have taken the necessary feedback very positively, and we shall look forward to an even better experience.

At least no Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader light sabre fight. Just some force push and chokes. All in goodwill...
