Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

It started off with a very bad purchase experience with alot of cockups and non-disclosure in august. Car was not specced according to what I wanted despite their claims it is.. Best part register my car with an open cat Coe though they had already secured a cat b for me..

Asked for omv before I signed on the agreement for the M3, gave me estimate and cited cannot give actual figure..but car already in store since feb 2011.. Checked with sg customs, omv is fixed before it can clear customs/port. I have every reason I believe they knew the figures but refuse to disclose to me..

Matter haven't resolve, things go missing twice when I send my car in.. I wonder how bad can it go on? I'm in midst of seeking legal advice to sue them.

if you have a case, sue them

If that is true then it very bad and they deserve a Tongue lashing. MA is a site sponsor here. Maybe you can seek redress there. Many M owners there

Well, if they were sincere to do anything, I wont have to post here to warn everyOne.. It's because I'm very precise and well versed in the numbers etc then I caught them with all the unprofessional practices etc.. The whole management knows my issue but they aren't doing anything.. Only know how to throw my poor se to ask me sign the Coe transfer letter. Zero professionalism and sincerity.

items lost are nothing valuable but its the promise of the exceptional ownership and aftersales experience which is now left dangling by a thread..

i send in my car the first time was to update my navigation system, realise my fast 5 dvd was missing upon collection.. this episode is minor as they had to take my dvd out to insert in the navigation dvd.. item was returned.. no issues..

today when i collected my car for some checks, i discover my iphone cable which is inside my centre armrest compartment had gone missing.. i did not kick up a fuss, but i was very puzzled why would it be taken. luckily my phone still had 53%.. cldnt imagine if i was expecting an important call and i had to charge my phone..

as i said, the items are negligible.. but bottom line, these incidents pile up on my entire ridiculously poor purchase experience of a M3 coupe.. its absurd..

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

i seriously do not understand why AD/PI do not reveal OMV especially for car that is already registered or they know the exact OMV amount

is it make empty promise of "higher" omv and then after signed on the dotted line just say omv is estimated and if it comes "lower" than expected, too bad.
the higher and lower omv varies $5k-$8k that will subsequently reduce ARF and 20% tax resulting lower car cost & bigger profit margin
ok this may sound like super peanut for a M3 .....

still can make amendment on omv vs selling price?

ur right,. it may sound like peanuts.. but its not the about the dollars and cents.. more about sincerity.. i for one reason, know that if they told me actual omv, i won't sign on the dotted line and would wait for a new piece then to take the ex stock..

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

Whats the reply to you on omv after u told them?
service seems a little careless.. I wud expect this if its PML given their high volume...a bit let down...

just to share my experiece..im not so particular...anyway sent in my car for service, did a few stuff like repairing my rims, bumper, windscreen and all..all well done....

Only let down - told them about a "sliding sound" in my steering wheel compartment and told them to open it check it...before i pick it up, i asked again if this is checked...as i was getting irritated with the sound each time i move off....Guess what? service guy told me "we found a plastic cover in it..had it removed no issue...dunno why its there" My reaction is ok good so long the object is removed thats fine...and asked them to keep the object

When i go pick up and i ask again....story different...its an excess clip you tie the wires together..and no he did not show me the object...i dont really care ...but found it weird why the reason was changed. But when i drove off, the sliding sound persist....LOL! so i know they did not do a check but probably came up w a story to "manage" the situation. Well, im easy la..nvr call back complain...got 90% of my stuff done well...this minor one...i let it pass....but i must say a little disappointed given low volume and yet not that all satisfying

6 out of 10 i guess...

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

previously, they gave me the excuse that omv is only known when duty is paid.. which is correct.. custom duties.. but that is like when the car was in singapore since feb. but apparently, to them, duties paid means payment of arf etc during registration and they cited, euro fluctuation would affect the omv.

but i just told them today, i got official word from sg customs.. so yet to hear response from them.

so its certain, they already know the omv.. but couldnt be bothered to check as they r only interested to get me to sign on the dot.. during then, i took their word for it.. cos their inventory list did show the est omv.. but in actual fact, the actual omv was already available but not updated to the inventory list..so they were lying on that part.

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

keep us updated. im sure some PI or even MA can shed some light to the seemingly complicated omv issue.

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

I went to service my front highlights water spray as it did not close . But only one side. I was told that I had a body kit on that's why it did not close . So they order a two new one for me. Which I don't understand why as only one did not close. But it was less than 100sg so I'm ok. Came back to fix it but it was not close perfectly as it was before...

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

damn... so moving from PML to MA hasn't really changed things eh? consumers are still fked!

Once the car reach the port and clear customs, they would have already known the OMV.

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

2 different AD selling different range of BMW wont increase competitiveness and level of service/customer satisfcation. Why not having MA/PML selling the full of BMW??? I believe competition will benefit consumers.

Maybe they poached PML staff?

Re: Munich Automobiles- getting from bad to worse

Hello all,

Munich Automobiles have been notified of this thread and it seems like there's 2 sides of the story.

A review is going on at this moment, and I urge all to restrain un-necessary comments and speculation until this case has been resolved.
