New 325 or 335 Cabrio

For a period of 4-5 years, I lost 100K on this car. I paid $204K (after discount haha)

Bro,

Your resale value is affected by the prices of the brand new 520 and 523, which should be about $160K and $170K respectively after discount. I know you suffered the full $100K depreciation but if you discount the fall in COE prices (and corresponding fall in new 5-series prices), your depreciation is actually only about $60K - which is damn good for 4-5 years.

Anyway, you were one of the first in Singapore to enjoy the E60 520! :)

Enjoy your new cab!

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

guys thanks man....

actually i don't really need a 335i...no choice...no stock for 325i. Got to wait for months...so go for ex-stock. I don't really drive well or fast...so it is overkill for me...family man lah.

vincar sent me a pm...335 cab is only 240k....so much diff...sigh.

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

u r right...the dealer bought my 520 for resale in the open market, not for export....so i got v good price.

Are they already using the new price( increase of 10k) or is it still the old one?

Not aware of this, is there 10K increase in all models? How much are the cabs now? I thought they have always been 215/235/265 800...?

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

bryan, now it goes like this -> 215/235/275 800....

Ask you guys opinion. My 335i comes with 19" style 230 rims. I have to pay $2400 for it. I heard market price is $7200. If not, i can go back to 18" style 189 rims at no additional costs. or I can pay $3400 with two sets of rims (230 and 189). I am worry about the ride and road noise on 19". What you guys think? I know it looks good with big and low profile rim, but it gets very noisy right?.

You can see the rims here -> Ultimate BMW 335i coupe / 328i coupe Information + FAQ - Page 4 - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - E90Post.com

Thanks.

Hello,

IMO, I'll save the money and get the stock 18" rims. Use the money and shop around for aftermarket 18"/19" rims. And yes, 19" tires are noisier as the profile is thinner. If u want quiet, stay 18".

Congrats on ur car & join the clan!

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

Bro Bryan, I am considering between a PI who can bring in 323 Cab at $177K. What price did u get from Perf Mtr for your 325 Cab? Who is the SE and contact? I am sceptical abt buying frm PI fpr after sales service. As u know, BM has many computerised parts and most otuside workshops cannot handle that.

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

I juz got my 325 cab in aug 07. have considered PI but don't really trust their after sales services. Moreover PI prices is only 2-3K cheaper than PML, thus not worth the risk.

Before jumping into a cab, do consider the reason of getting one, and also mechanical parts will be loose sooner or later.

aving said that, a cab is always so 'shiok' driving around in it... :)

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

2-3k cheaper only? Funny, I know PML is selling 325 non-highline cabrio at 215,800, while PI is around 200,000. So that would amount to around 15.8k diff, no?

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

if i am correct, the figure is inclusive of the cash rebate u will get back for the car loan. u might like to check with the PI to confirm though. mine was at 215888 then and with a cash rebate of approx 13K (i.e 202888 ), so it still not much diff from PI.

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

wow that's quite abit of cash rebate given to you! was that for the loan or was that a personal discount? (which i highly doubt so, that's quite abit!)

Re: New 325 or 335 Cabrio

its was cash rebate for the car loan...
what the PI indicated price usually was after minusing the max cash rebate from car loan

The PIs would sell the 325 Cabrio at about $190+k before cash rebate :)
