Well, just got myself a new 523i. Hope to learn more about BMW motoring from you fellow enthusiasts. I have read many comments that the omv for this car is way too low. I agree. Mine is about $37k only. I bought the car not because i want to be one of the first to drive it. I just got hooked after i test drove the car. hmmm.... what to do? Anyway, heard that the resale value for a bmw is pretty good and that omv should not be much of a factor. Don't know how this argument works but hopefully there's some truth to it. Again, glad to join this community.

It depends... Seller will say low OMV not an issue. Buyer will say it is a BIG issue :nehnehhh: hahaha....

Anyway welcome n enjoy the forum. Beautiful car your F10. I just went Alexandra to molest the showroom units and got me some free coffee and hotdogs too! Ahhh... JOY IS BMW....

The dealerships benefitted the most in this case, but as you've mentioned, the feeling of knowing that you are driving one of the earlier batches of the car is shoik so do savour the moment.

No one can predict the future price for a F10, too many factors involved. Can be low, can be high, depends on the market then and the supply/demand.
So don't worry too much about it and enjoy the car. We only live once, Hitmee say one before he put all his savings into a R8.

I suppose its the recent weakening of the Euro? My 2009 130i has an OMV of 46K+ but maybe Euro was high then?

if PML is making $73K profit from your car, that's the premium you got to pay liao.
forget about the omv, when you sell sure kena hantam low omv la .... newer batch ie: 2011 comes with higher omv with more options, then double whammy la

OMV of 37k for a 5 series is quite shocking.... Before the Euro crash, even E90 323s were averaging in the mid-40s and going as high as 52k. E60 523s averaged above 50k....

Mine is with Havanna exterior and black/beige interior. Should be taking delivery in about 10 to 15 days time. The decision came down to the E200 CGi or the 523i. The 523i won effortlessly in terms of drive and control. The E200 is about 12K cheaper with an omv of about 51K. Nice car too.

i molested one in the showroom at dunearn rd while sending my car for servicing todae...
anw saw tt almost the whole delivery centre is filled wif F10..
